This manakin knocks his wings together 107 times a SECOND to create sound , this sound is not produced by singing as many may think, the sound is produced similar to playing a violin ,each feather has to be bent at a certain angle and rubbed against certain feather in particular to make the sound that will attract the female
THE place to watch this amazing bird is Milpe bird sanctuary run by mindo cloudforest foundation where these tiny birds can be watched up close during their mating season
this foundation is doing some amazing work saving our forests in Ecuador ,recovering previously destroyed lands

Их звучание красиво, уникально и разнообразно .Когда смотришь и слышишь их пение становиться приятно на сердце и радость придаёт стимул в жизни . И наша задача сохранить эту красоту.
