That is interesting about the hot dry weather. The comparison is obvious (if superficial) that when humans experience hot dry weather in dense cities…violent crime goes up dramatically. Bee violence increased comparatively…

Very prolific comb indeed! Interesting to see the paper wasp nest as ours here in Texas do not create the exterior lantern. Phil is your email on biobees going to go up again? I was curious about your Nicot and Morris(?) board experiments.

Mr Phil, you may already know that I am a fan and defender of you and your methods. That said, I am wondering, don't you know that you could have moved that little nuc as near or far as you pleased by simply screening them in the night before and then moving them the next morning, placing some leafy branches in front of the entrance? They will reorient upon emergence with little, and often times, no drift whatsoever. If you knew this will you please explain why you didn't want to use that method? Thank you sir.

I've got to give top bars another chance. Just weary of losing the colonies I put in them as every one I have placed in eventually leaves.

Hi Phil. I'm interested in knowing how long that hive is please. I'm considering building a 24 bar +2 divider board wide ktbh for fairly placid bees. I'm in South Australia, bee keeping in the suburbs of Adelaide, and plan to use a Kangaroo Island queen. Brood from these queens have a reputation for being very calm, and I suspect they won't over run a hive of that size.

Hi Phil I’ve already ordered wood from my local timber yard to build a replica of your hives. Do you have any tips on how to attract bees. The reason behind the interest in bees is my son and I spotted a swarm in our garden and found them fascinating but as you know they don’t hang around for long. Any advice would be fantastic. Much appreciated Matt
