Sometimes there's not. Sometimes it a quality thing. A $5 blush might look the same but if it fades in 3 hours and you have to reapply many times a day it's not worth it. Eyeshadows are a prime example. I was unsatisfied with drugstore eyeshadow and my teenager said, "mom, if you'd buy a better quality product you'd be happier". She was so right. I was blown away by the quality of the Natasha Denona shadows. They blend so wonderfully and last all day without creasing. The pigment is so intense it only takes the teeniest bit on your brush. I paid $22 for her mini palette and i wear it almost every day and the pans are still almost full. For me it was $22 well spent. I buy a lot of drugstore stuff. Mostly foundation and mascara but the drugstore simply can't touch the quality of higher end eyeshadows. The drugstore is killing it in the lip department too. I hardly ever buy high end lipstick.

@@sarahferguson0although I bought the Aultra ND dupe, and it lasted all day! I think it depends on the dupe, some of them are much better than others, but it's nice to spoil yourself with a highend product. 👍👍

I love the Milani lip pencil in Cinnamon. It is one of the longest lasting lip pencils I have. I think I have about 8 back ups because they are hard to find. I never want to be without this one.

I just purchased a tube of Covergirl Exhibitionist lipstick and I kid you not that lipstick didnt move or fade for the entire day! When I washed it off I still had some shade on my lips! And Im going for 50/50 for your look!

I definitely mix and match high end with low end. I agree with you that Rimmel foundations are incredibly underrated. I think most of their products are misses but I've liked all their foundations for mid to full coverage.

Hard to find my correct color in foundation at the drug store. I wear Estée Lauder double wear, great for oily skin. Would love to find a less expensive dupe. Love your videos! You always look so beautiful ❤

I love the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray because it doesn't contain alcohol. The Milani one dries my skin out because it has alcohol in it. I wish I could find a alcohol free setting spray thats as good as the Charlotte Tilbury one.

@risadoesmakeup Thank you for the video! Do you know if the Milani lip liner lasts as long as the Charlotte Tilbury one? One day I swatched lip liners from several different brands on my hand. After washing my hands several times as I went about my day (I have toddlers) I found the CT lip liner was the only one that stayed on the longest. It would be great to find a dupe that is just as long wearing.

I appreciate that you take the time to find affordable alternatives for those that can’t afford the higher end of the Luxury Brands. I do think that those who say negative things (I honestly don’t know how many people say rude things, but I have heard from other u tuber’s that people can be very mean and ignorant) to Risa or any of the others that work hard for us. I always thought, okay I can’t afford that, BUT I can take the lesson she taught and use it with what I can afford. It’s like when you learn how to drive, the vehicle you drive be it $40,000.00 or $10,000.00 your still learning and yes it would be awesome if all of us could pick the nicer one. We don’t know what Risa had to do to get where she is now, but I honestly believe she didn’t start off buying foundation for $150.00. So let’s just enjoy the work that she does as well as the other people who have their own channel and just want to help you be or feel better about yourself. I’m in no way suggesting that anyone is not beautiful if they choose not to wear makeup. My sweet mom only wore her red lipstick, that’s it for about 80 years. I started helping her with just a little bit of makeup when I did it for her when she turned 80 and we had her get her picture taken. Sadly she passed away 1 year ago just 2 days ago. I miss my parents so much. My dad died when I was 18. I’m sorry this comment was so long. Regarding what you are wearing, on your right I think you have the higher end products and on your left, I say you have the affordable makeup on. I didn’t look 😑 but I wanted to, ha. so I’m excited to see if I’m right or wrong. 🫣 Thanks Risa for another wonderful tutorial ❤

I love the smell of the CT setting spray! And the performance! And i also have them everywhere! However...I have just many milani make it last! I use my milani daily and the CT on special occasions. 🙌
