The large format tiles are beautiful in this yard. You took it from matted and unruly to absolutely stunning. It looks so good!

Love this transformation! The seamless transition between the patio and the grass (artificial grass i assume?) is very satisfying. I think some mulch in the beds would add that final touch. Very nice work though :)

I KILL PRETTY THINGZ thanks.The artificial grass contractor uses a turf cutter and many, many wheelbarrows I think.

What do you lay the sleeper border on to and secure with ? I'm planning a patio and want to use sleeper to edge. Looks amazing, thank you

Thank you. With this job we levelled the ground beneath, then lay the sleepers onto the ground, drive in timber stakes directly against the sleepers and attached with screws.

If the owners wanted artificial turf and something very low maintenance then they got what they wanted. I am sure if the owners wanted some Euro Disney, glamorous back garden hideway they would have asked for and gotten it. If they wanted a pleasant backdrop for friends and family they got it. Houses and gardens are a backdrop for the clients...not vice versa.

Porcelain paving has to be sealed before it it is laid on sand/cement mortar. Well done for noticing !

@@martine.210 Overall I think it's OK and likely reflects what the clients wanted: a very large patio, zero maintenance for the artificial lawn and a play area for the grandchildren at the end. But the obsession in the video to focus only on the patio confirms my view that this was designed by a builder rather than a professional garden landscape designer.

The transformation in this type of work is wonderful , however artificial grass doesn't good, because with high temperature with long time emits a foul smell like a car tire smell when you rub the asphalt , This artificial grass only gives a fantastic view of the eye, it lies on the eye, but the brain alone can realize that . there is a natural grass like artificial grass, so why not replace it.

Ok so there is definitely a difference between tidying up a garden and having a well designed garden. The slabs are done really professionally but ultimately if the home owner and the contractor have no design flair the garden turns our soulless like this. Its just a clean and tidy garden, it's never going to be beautiful because there is no design flair here but it's all good if the customer is happy.

Am I the only one who thinks that this just gross? Before it was wild and natural. With some work you could have turned it into a beautiful backyard. This place is just sterile. Plastic grass? Sorry, but I'm disgusted.
