This blesses my soul more than you know Mr. Gaither, my beautiful sister passed away 2 weeks ago today and her chains of pain and torment from cancer are gone.. I miss her terribly but I know in my heart she is free from all of that now, when she was on her way home and taking her last few breaths, I told her I loved her and to just reach up and take the hand of God and when she did, her face looked so much younger, just completely at peace, no more struggling, her chains were gone, her battle was finished and praise God he set her free... Hallelujah!!!!!

I so love this song, my Mama loved this song and also loved Old Rugged Cross.. I sang both of these songs to her on her deathbed. And I said to her in between crying Mama it's time to go home and finished singing amazing grace as she took her last breath with tears running down her cheeks... She died 4 years ago a couple days from now.. this song is for you Mama I am singing with these beautiful people..
