I reuse clothing in my Creations all the time. It's actually the best way because if you actually take the material and throw it in the trash it doesn't biodegrade in the landfill. So reusing it not just donating it or gifting it to someone is a good option. You can remake it into something and gift it to someone and they would enjoy it and more unless they pass it on.

For example my dad had an old electric blanket that he pulled the wiring out of that we still used. It is in the middle of my son's blanket that I made for him a couple years ago. Front piece is new back piece was my blanket from when I was growing up. So it's like a three generation blanket. I've done the same for myself with a blanket that my husband bought me every time it got washed it wanted to fall apart because of how it was made. So I put it on the inside of two pieces of fleece for a blanket for myself. I make baby blankets personalized pillows neck pillows and I also like to restuff stuffed animals. But that's just a drop in the bucket of what I like to do. I make jewelry candles bath bombs girls hair bows . I just started working with epoxy resin

А я шила. Толстенной иглой нитками практически в палец толщиной (старенькая машинка не очень любила изящность, да и купить нормальных ниток - надо было исхитриться!). Жаль, что не считала это своей фишкой, а наоборот, старалась, чтобы было похоже на фабричные

You can. I learned sewing very young and I am doing several DIY projects I found on KZfaq. If you look you can find everything explained from threading the machine to intricate sleeves and embroidery. You might even be able to rent or borrow a machine to make sure sewing suits you. Good Luck!
