You can tell the area he was digging those holes had already been prepared to assure easy digging. Lets see it work in normal dirt that hadnt been prepped first.

I think I’ll just throw away my old blades in the recycle bin and if I need to dig a hole… I’ll use a post hole digger. It’s sad some one is going to think this is a good idea and try to make one.😄

For soft and fluffy soils. No way that would work on my yard, the blade will bend if the weldings don't go first then that little drill will burn up.

Good idea. However I did stage 1 and drew a line across the blade. I'm stuck on stage 2. I keep dropping the blade but it won't break in half ? Two days I've been on it. Any ideas.

A very dangerous use, possibly. any small kink or bend to the threaded shaft would make this thing an attacking meat grinder, slicing your feet or legs.

Why is it that people cut the desired shape out of the middle of the material rather than using an existing edge???? Save a cut and save material. Why does this auger even need the arrowhead point???

To give it direction. Otherwise it would be skating all over the place. Same reason you use a center punch when drilling into metal.
