You need to match the two. Not only is the color enough different the styling is too different. In that size space it needs to match. The space will look roomier with matching furniture.

We all know that sofa sleepers are not all created equal. With your wife's fashion abilities, I would keep the sleeper & turn her loose with the pillow/throws and colors. She make it look great.

I do like the new seats. Yup, there's a difference in color. I wouldn't mind, but if the new sofa came with the "luxuries," and the company would replace it for free, then yes, I'd accept a matching color. I'm glad you're going to donate the usable seats to someone who can use them.

To start off with just remember there are a lot of people in South Texas Mississippi and New Orleans suffering from after affects of the latest hurricane that might be a good place to donate to including Habitat for Humanity. On another note my wife and I just spent three days going to six different furniture stores looking for home furnishings. I most definitely like the new loveseat you put in compared to the old loveseat. I have had five back surgeries, two this year and I have to have comfortable seating. In the past I have used loveseats with those big pillow armrests and it never fails after six months or so they are squished down so bad that you’re actually leaning on the wood inside the furniture. And most of the new furniture does not have zippers where you can just restart those armrest yourself, you have to actually find an upholstery shop and have them come out and re-stuff your furniture. We just bought two brand new consul reclining loveseat‘s similar to the one you installed in your RV and I absolutely love them. They are absolutely comfortable. We actually have a dark and light brown set of furniture that goes together similar to yours and even my wife said they contrast play off each other.

As an interior decorator….I would say to replace the sofa to match the recliner set. Just my opinion! Great RV!

We went to European RV’s. Modern yrs ahead of American mags. Bright warm colors high quality interior trim furniture and tech. Mercedes and Italian. Just one big “wow”

It is now a year after this was made, and in 2024 the RVs are all light and bright to bring them into the "modern" age. I would guess that you did replace the sofa and that it was not a difficult job, and that the new matching sofa was much nicer and more comfortable just like the theater seating recliners turned out to be. I hope I can find out what you did. This was a nice demo and it was well worth your time to get something that you finally liked.

Haven't read all the comments so this may be a repeat. I took out sofa out by taking it apart. The back comes off the frame with a few screws. The bed frame on ours was just a couple bars going through a frame held in with clips. So basically 3 pieces stood on end I could move out by myself. Super easy.

Just a thought those fans would be great if they were also designed into the Couch/ Fold out Bed. Imagine sleeping at night and having directional fans that you could use to move the air around you as you slept. 😊👍👍👍

Those are not just a Step Up but they bring Comfort and Convince to a whole new Level. As for the Colour it looks Ok but if there is any OCD or you plan on selling this unit in the future you might want the Colour Match. Overall I Love the Upgrade. 😊👍👍👍

I would just get pillows the same color as the new chairs. Get the lighter brown as the chairs. Set them on each side of the couch. That will break up the darker brown from the couch

Contrasting colors are a good thing. You have a unique and one of a kind that no one else has. I honestly prefer all power recliners with heat & massage.

I’d love to take out the booth dinette in my 20’ travel trailer and put in a single theater seat in its place. If LCI would like to hook me up with one of those, I’d be very happy to take it. 🤣😂 I like the color of the new theater seats. It goes better with your 5th wheel decor. If they’re going to give you a new sofa, I’d replace the one you have. Why not?

we put a remote control type switch on the chairs. You need to power the seats, use the remote. But mostly they stay off since they are real touchy and our animals will turn the off/on/

I have taken a similar couch apart. The main seat area detaches (this is the bed part as well) with a couple of screws. The you basically have the two sides left with a couple of metal cross bars. Very easy to remove and replace. I took mine out when I was gaining access to a side table to run wiring for a cell booster. The contrast looks fine, but the new style looks very comfortable - they probably improved the sofa and sleeper part as well. The one you have probably has a bit of a bump when made into a bed (ie: the seat cushions are a bit higher than the rest of the bed when folded out - I wonder if they changed that in a new version?

Hindsight being 20/20 when a color difference is close but still off it's more obviously wrong than if you were to choose a contrasting color. If the color difference bothers you but you prefer the sofa color maybe look for a different color recliner that both contrasts to the sofa but is complimentary to the rest of the interior. JD, check if there's a Habitat for Humanity Restore in your area. Their thrift stores generate income for the charity to help build homes. Stores typically accept gently used furniture, appliances, and excess building materials.

Sandra Westley uk I have seen a few models with lighter insides and lighter woods and cabinets, and work surfaces, it looks so much better, here in the UK they would not make any sales with all that dark wood etc, it’s all light and it looks more spacious when it’s light.

I wouldn't change the sofa unless the wife absolutely hates the minor (in my opinion) contrast. Very cool 😎 theater seating JD. Donating the other one is an honorable thing but y'all might consider a contest for y'all's subscribers to try to win it. Perhaps a selling raffle tickets with the proceeds going to a charity. Well I’m old fashioned (mostly because I’m old) and I’m definitely into symmetry so I’d replace the sofa bed with one that matched, otherwise I’d say you’ve made a considerable upgrade to your furniture as the new one’s features are really nice!

If LCI is willing to provide you with a replacement sleeper go ahead and get it. My reasoning is that you (and technically LCI) will be able to make a more substantial donation to a very worthy cause with the value of both the theater seats and the couch. Plus it'll match and you won't be second guessing yourself about whether or not you should've done it.

Doubt they're paying for it. As it's a prototype test mule of sorts I'd guess the respective companies are donating products as sponsors. Those rv furniture items cost small fortunes to replace and it's good to see these variants to help with new rig buying decisions.

Those fans are perfect, that is all I need vs the tall floor fan I have now. Would be nice to see someone 6' ish recline and see where the headrest hits. I am 5'11 and RV couch headrests normally only make my shoulders, sometimes my neck, recliner backs are almost always too short for anyone over 5'6

Suggested feedback to LCI - should be an easy way to "daisy chain" power from a single wall power outlet to multiple individual pieces. Simple power jumpers from the "master" unit to the in-line "slave" units.

If you replace the sofa you might as well replace the wall trim, because it's a different shade too. Also, there is not as much contrast between the carpet and new chairs as the old. Then there's the matter of the dinette chairs................ LOL. Where does it all end? Personally, for what it's worth the different colors wouldn't bother me.

IMHO, If it was a sticks and bricks, the slight color difference would not be a big deal. However, in such a small space, the lighter color plus the continuity of color will make your space look and feel bigger (a design “brain-trick”).

If it were me, I'd match the 2 pieces. It'll look better and more professional as well. Plus I'm a little OCD so having them be off that much in color and style would bother me haha. But it's your camper.

Personally, I’d remove and replace with matching theatre seats and small table stands on each side. We have the same “before” and are seriously looking at doing that. We do not need the sleeping accommodations provided by the coach. It’s a back breaker anyway.

I am mainly wondering how the recline feature functions. I’m looking to remove my dinette and put in this recliner set up. What I’m wondering is if I have to keep it away from the wall a significant amount when reclining, or does the back kind of swivel out from the base?

Interesting to watch. Replacing the manual recliners with the motor driven is a need for many RVs cause us older folks can pull a muscle trying to kick down the manual ones ..to get them to catch. The colors seem significantly different but it depends on the individual…some like a contrast and others have an OCD reaction. Say…I would love to see some aluminum framed travel trailers with 50 A and two a/C’s that can be towed by F150 truck or Expedition size SUV’s….if you know a good choice or two?

Look into the Logitech Harmony remote. I purchased the Harmony remote before Logitech bought it and have owned it for maybe 15 years and its still a good one to keep on hand. There hasnt been a device I have thrown at it that it couldnt handle. Programming is a little bit more involved though. At least it was on my aged version.
