Charles braine keeping brain and body busy is great way and very therapeutic like carving in woods I do a lot helps me out I use either a Swiss Army knife or a Barlow pocket knife to carve spoons and Irish shillelaghs and felix immler projects greetings bro from the uk 🇬🇧 👍🇮🇹🐾🦊

This reminds me of the type of carving projects my dad used to do when I was a kid. It was unbelievable what he could do with just a block of cedar and a hawk-bill knife.

I love this, Mr. Warther who made the video you watched lived about 10 minutes from where I grew up, I spent countless hours roaming around his shop and museum growing up. Incredible stuff!

I know you posted this a year ago, but I just came across the video. In 1997, on a road trip to DC for a conference, I side-trekked and found the Warther knife company. One of his sons cut a set of pliers during the tour of the factory and gave them to me. I just realized that I have had them tucked away for almost 30 years....and also now realize that it's been that long! :)

a question out of curiosity: When Felix gives us the dimensions in inches he would say "1.4 inches". For you guys using the imperial system does a decimal like 1.4 work after all or would it be better to give a measurement in base 2 ratios like "1 Inch and 6/16" or "1 and 13/32". How would you guys translate 35 millimeters to inches? Since I have to give out dimensions to American customers quite often and I am working with the metric system, I'd really appreciate an answer (and, no, I never asked my customers since they get along with whatever I give them, inches or millimeters)

Felix, great job! This saturday morning will see me trying to carve my first wood pliers! Last time you enlighted me, I've performed successfully the axe modification,the vinegar blackening and the rag honing trick. Not mentioning a cuple of tweaks on my EDC sak Huntsman. You rule, bro. I first encountered this type of project in India as they use this type of design for book holders for reading. Though I am sure this type of innovation has many roots. Beautiful way to spend some time with you knife, danke Felix!

First thing I did was watch David Warther's video via the link and it was like a magic trick and I laughed in amazement but I couldn't really follow the steps on how to cut exactly.
