AMAZING Quebec duckpin bowling final match 2011-2012 in the middle of a shopping center MUST SEE !

2011-2012 SQAQ final (rubberband duckpin) in St-Hyacinthe, near Montreal, Quebec
6000 $ to the winner
For the event, temporary lanes were installed in a shopping center.
It's the only time the final occured in a public space.

In Mass. our big game is Candlepin Bowling, invented in Worcester, Mass. in 1880, it was a popular game in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

I worked in PIttsburgh at Village and Princess Lanes for years as a pinchaser then mechanic. I worked on the Bowl-Mor rubberband duck machines. God, they were erector sets compared to the Brunswick A and A-2's we had. Still a lot of fun to work on. Since we had to test what we worked on, we all got pretty good at bowling those. On a side note, our neighbor was Harry Kagrise, Jr - one of the top American Rubber Band Duckpin Bowling Congress members.

I was born near Pittsburgh and my mom worked at a small center that had 2 manually set lanes for both 10 pin and rubber band ducks. My first job was setting duckpins for a ladies Sunday afternoon league when I was 7. The center is long closed and I duckpins are rare and rubber band ducks pretty much extinct.

It's the best. It's technical and you need to be accurate and well synchronized.

@@mariosabourin6965 There’s actually one Bowling center in Far Western Maryland that has Rubberband Duckpin Bowling Pins, and that’s Diamond Lanes in Cumberland. These Canadian Duckpins were actually first invented in Pennsylvania.

Haha i was playing once a year at the age of 12 doing 279game I told my mother never again its too easy. They grooved the alleys and put antifront 30yrs ago. Now there is 5-10 perfect games in any duckpins center here.

This is slightly different from the duckpin bowling I play in Rhode Island. The only differences are obviously no rubber banding and 3 balls per frame

I grew p in Quebec and thought the rubber bands were standard, but apparently not. To get a strike you need a good pocket hit, no cheap strikes.

In U.S, bowlers throw the ball fast, and get the spinning of the pins, we get three shots.

American ducks is popcorn bowling. Canadian ducks is a more controlled game because of the rubber bands.

Neither of them qualified for this event. I bowled all the games that unlocked it. These guys did nothing but lie and take credit. I bowled all the games for these qualifers. It was a total fraud. I was practicing and they banked my games so they could play this tourney. They suck at bowling. This is truth.

This is horribly staged. These guys both aren't that good. The old guy can't beat this kid. And neither of them can bowl worth shit at duckpin. This is one the most embarrasing things pro bowling has ever done. This match is a disgrace.
