They had to wait and rely on kindness of another teams taxi to get them a tire. Like be thankful you'd even get 50. There WAS a contract. It was verbal but that's a contract. The guy wanted $100 and he offered $50. Christie told him to make it $60 and all parties agreed. He should have given him $60.

Here's another Amazing Race Fail Moment to consider. In season 31 Leg 8, the team Chris & Bret had the opportunity to do a U-Turn vote on Leo & Jamal, which could've gotten one of the strongest teams eliminated early (it obviously would've been Leo & Jamal that would've gotten eliminated instead of Colin & Christie since the boys struggled with the Roadblock in that leg). However, Chris & Bret instead wasted their U-Turn vote on Rachel and Elissa, who who were one of the weaker teams, just out of spite and it caused those girls to get eliminated that leg. However, Christ & Bret ended up becoming the next team eliminated in Leg 9 because they kept one of the stronger teams in the race instead of one of the weaker teams, which would've helped them to not get eliminated in Leg 9 so easily.

I’m impressed by the amount of bad takes in this comment section. The taxi driver offered to drive them to the airport for a price of 100 dollars. Whether or not that is a “fair price” is irrelevant. They have a choice between paying the 100 dollars or finding other means of getting to the airport. The flat tire is also irrelevant. The driver fixed it and still brought them to the airport. They have to pay the price they agreed to.

Funny cause he earlier in series he said they always check tires on a taxi well he didn't here and it bit him. I get being angry but let it go and get going on the race.

Definitely deserved $50 because of the malfunction of the car. Idc. They charge too much for taxis anyway.

I honestly can’t here, I cannot comprehend how much people are sticking with Colin , when he cheated his driver , insulted the police and the country. To top it all off, the driver was well within his rights to demand the money, and I think it is rude disgusting and downright evil to say that Colin was in the right not paying the taxi driver.
