The instrumentation was just beautiful...love those strings. There are so many supers to this pre-release. A jazzy song and production that was meant for Angelina. Her voice, as usual, just amazing, finally letting 'er rip. Her belting here was otherworldly! Bodes well for the year, for her fans, for anyone who loves good music.

I just hope that by the time the official single is actually released, the interest in the release isn’t diminished because this version of the song had been out there for a while already. That’s why I was a little surprised that permission was given to allow this video to be put out.

Curtis, I know of no other young vocalist that can elicit such a sublime, powerful, raw and organic performance, especially in a live night club setting and with only a piano, violin and cello accompanying Angelina.

I love the lyrics as they can mean something different to different people. For me I feel it means as she said because you were so nice . I knew a guy like this when I was young and he just wasn’t fun or a challenge at all. He even bought me flowers when I stood him up just like the song says 😂😂 Just another thought

AFAIK, from an TikTok post where Toby tagged them, it was Dave Eggar on cello, and Lauren Conklin on violin (or viola). BTW, Lauren also played the strings on the Piano Diaries version of If I Were A Boy.

I have said what I am going to say to you regarding this - I find it disappointing that you seem to have not cared in the least what I and others have had to say regarding this matter. To base your assumptions on that of the inferences of H S rather than my direct knowledge is seriously crazy. Mostly I wouldn't care, but there are cases in which Truth and Accuracy matter at a fundamental level. Unless a miracle happens, I KNOW Angelina will NOT be there.

@@user-gp8ln6jo3o This song is a follow up to Now I’m the Fool. The lyric actually is “I thought I told you I would mess up girl, I warned you right from the start”. It took a long time to figure it out after another commenter pointed out it was the flip of Now I’m the Fool and I finally figured out the lyric and realized Angelina was the rejected one sitting at the table for two. Go back and listen to Now I’m the Fool and then immediately listen to Bad Valentine and you’ll get the connection right away. Two songs about unrequited love written from opposite points of view, sung by Angelina. Now I’m the Fool sung in a feminine voice, while Bad Valentine is sung in a more forceful, masculine voice. This girl is pure genius!

why does everybody jump on the oh how great this song is wagon. I think its poorly written, Angelina makes the best of it with her voice but the words could have been written by a fith grader for heavens sake. Rose are red violets are blue ? Way to cheezy for me curtis. This isnt a Angelina style song. Im disappointed for the first time.
