@Dam crispy sweet rice is mashed and kneaded into a paste, then things are added to make it into a dense chewy cake.

The processing is so satisfying to watch. Korean meals are so unique, i tried Korean barbecue with my kids and it was so sweet 😋😋

All those are Korean rice cake (ddeok) meaning that most of the ingredients are rice powder (both glutinous and nonglutious rice mixed) . And the colored ones - part of all kinds of ddeok- inserted between them are red bean, black bean, pumpkin, mugwort, agave, black sesame seed, edible petals (mostly healthy vegetables and seeds)..etc. Most of the ddeok taste sweet.

The reason why i like these videos is because you can clearly see the ingredients. In other videos, most of the foods are so processed, it's like a science experiment most of the time

I think I saw sugar, maybe chopped nuts (walnuts?) - and I assume there was rice somewhere in the process. Other than that - NO CLUE. But it sure looks fun to make and yummy at the end! 😋

Would be nice to know the ingredients! Amazing skills. This stuff is NOT easy. Consistency can be oh so tricky to get right I imagine. Looks like awesome sweet treats!

Это из риса, на самом деле вкусные. Хотя каждый день такое не съешь, но это вкусно, не обычно, а сам процесс просто завораживает!

Rice cakes really do be slimy in appearance right out of the vat. I wonder how they package it to where it doesn't get funky from all the moisture.

Asian rice cakes tend to have oil on them to repel water. You can see it being applied at 10:31. With that said, they do become unappealingly hard after a week when you see some syrup leaking out (a combination of the moisture and sugar), and they will become moldy really quickly after that.

Thank goodness for machines. To think this was once made by hand, I don’t want to think how many hours it must have taken to pummel the rice to a smooth goo. On a side note, I do think that chap was enjoying slapping the goo a little too much, he he he
