Not necessarily life-saving, but potentially saving a pretty serious injury - "The Beast" Mtawarira holding up the upside-down lock is still the single most impressive feat of strength Ive seen on a sports field.

You must not have watched much sports, then, because I’ve seen way more impressive feats of strength than that, plenty of times. You should check out a real (American) football game, sometime. You’ll be amazed at the feats of those men. They make the guy you’re talking about look like a sissy.

For some reason, this video made me think of those that couldn't be saved while on their respective fields, such as that umpire working the Cincinnati Reds opening day game 1996, college basketball player Hank Gathers. Even that dove that was obliterated by a pitch from Randy Johnson...

I had a high school teacher who collapsed and died while referring a high school playoff game back in the mid-80s. A lot like the ref in the basketball game here as he just collapsed suddenly.

If you do a part 2, Ayrton Senna saved the life of Erik Comas when the Ligier driver crashed hard during practice for the 1992 Belgian F1 Gran Prix. Comas was unconscious with his foot floored on the throttle and Senna heard the V10 bouncing off the rev limiter. He pulled over and shut the car off before holding Comas's head steady while rescue crews tried to get him out of the car. Had Senna not done that the engine could have exploded.

Touching video. The problem is that the background noise/music drowns out dialogue that is key to fully appreciating the video. It is disappointing because you have such a hard time hearing anything if you can hear it at all. Before posting, please go through the video and make the background noise/music incidental and barely audible. It really adds nothing and takes away so much.

the music has to be there because he cannot make money from uploading straight clips from copyrighted sources. But he can make money if he is showing off a song that he (or someone he knows) wrote, and there are sports clips in the background
