I think it is a win-win situation. Some people gets opotunity to share their craft with the world and other earn money. Some like to do art and some like money. If the ultimate goal of everything we do in life is to earn money, then talented people are losers.

because art is always subjective. and the unlucky thing these random artist are often liked by people who wouldn't buy their art. and those you see on fancy art galleries were probably either recognized by famous artist, critics or people would actually buy it on the said price. you don't have to do a good detailed art, you just need to be recognized to get good value. you can just put a white colored plaster and call it an art. then they look at the artist if they knew it was you who drew it they would probably pay it. people got recognized because they liked the art not because the art was good but because they liked it. and if other people liked it the price then gets into a bidding status. imagine people explaining some emotions and complicated stuff while look at a blank piece of white picture

The golden ages are not even better than modern art. Their art got big because art has evolved for thousands of years now. Old doesn't necessarily mean its better.
