Very nice work they have done, I like how the new radiator core comes as “one size fits all” and trim to suit, I would have thought the main person doing the repair might have owned a hack saw to actually hold the blade more effectively. I did laugh out that the video was sped up near enough to a similar speed of Benny Hill show when pretending that he was doing something quick (I apologise to the channel owners and the gentleman that was being filmed, this wasn’t thinking he was funny, just the similar speed to the other show I mentioned). I’m old enough that I used to take my radiator down for repair many a time, and then I’d have to get the correct core if I wanted it recorded instead of buying a new one (even though I was doing the same difference in the end product. Happy days indeed…

That wasn't "fixing" or "rebuilding", it was building a new, custom radiator. Too bad he didn't use the table to work standing up vs all the bending over on the ground. Excellent end result, minus the crushed fins and no inlet or fill pipes.

I remember you would take a rad to be rodded out, welded, or other kinds of repairs. Back when they were made of brass instead of aluminum. I wonder if that guy was using bronze or lead as solder.

@@Billhatestheinternet Odd fact, after a lifetime as a mechanic, I found out just recently that copper is a much better thermal conductor than aluminum. Duh! No wonder the old radiators were copper with brass tanks. I actually kind of felt stupid.

Title is a bit misleading, he actually built a complete new radiator using the old one only for the size. I guess there was a non-repable issue with the original as the place obviously does repair too. Still great skills though and I reckon the one he made is better that the original (more robust copper finning between the tubes) . My first few cars had this style of radiator and I remember getting at least one re-cored but modern cars mostly have plastic ended and ally cored radiators so much less possibility of repair which I find sad.
