This video is not for an audience in countries where you can just go out and buy a new tire when needed. Its purpose is to educate others in similar situations on how to extend the life of a very costly tire. They are very resourceful and aware that a repaired tire is less reliable than a new one.
@horstmuller751210 ай бұрын
The problem is, that you can buy machines in countries like Pakistan, wich are using these tires. Seems, they have the money buying these machines, but no money, maintaining them the correct way. The result is, that a lot of people get killed by failed machines and stupid operators.
@mattdillon43989 ай бұрын
@@horstmuller7512 That is not true. What evidence do you have that a lot of people are getting killed? You claim they have money to buy machines but not to maintain. They don't have the money to buy them either. Have you ever seen their machines? They are 30-50 year old leftovers from America! They are just starting in their industrial revolution. Give them a break, their 100 years behind the western world. They'll catch up. Also, the tire is perfectly safe. We do these kinds of repairs in America all the time with no problems. Love watching these videos. Just wondering, would it be possible to have a clamp on steel plate, front and back, into which you could inject molten rubber? You could place steel or kevlar matting to overlap the existing sidewall structure, then inject above and below through the steel clamped structure (thinking like a large sandwich press). Surely this would be stronger than multiple small pieces of thin rubber? And potentially a lot cheaper for nations of lesser income..?? Obviously I know very little about vulcanising, so this is meant as a question, and not a distraction from the works performed here.

I hate the part replacers in USA, and they call themselves mechanics. I had a nail barely on the side, they wouldn't patch it and offer me to sell a new tire almost $50 dollars more than I paid on amazon. That infuriates me even further so, I take it to an Asian, he does it and don't even charge me. Funny thing is, I don't even remember which tire it was now and its been well over 2 years.

When the side wall of the tire is broken, you must not repair it. The tire may burst by strength lack.

Though am not an expert in this type of giant tyre repair, I guess that the bonding process with the taping tool plus the final weight press,heat etc,sure makes for reasonable job?

Тракторная техника имеет 1-1.7 атм давление чтобы в землю не тромбовать. А на фурах 8-10 атм эта тема не работает епнет и головы не будет. На легковых тоже самое скорость другая вращения и давление побольше около 2-2.5 атм.

Very impressed with the craftsmanship of the people of your country. recommended wearing protective gear when working, I find the working environment unsafe at all. Thank

Repairing is one thing. The most important thing is safety. I won't use a repaired tyre on my car as I don't want to take risks. It may also be unfair to other road users.
