Although a somewhat primative method it is very effective, providing you don't mind a Variable Pitch on your Archimedes Screw. Having made thousands of feet of this type of conveyor screw,when an apprentice and working on the forge with our shop Blacksmith, I can appreciate the skill of these fellow workers using rudementry tools and techniques to turn out a very credible job. I tip my hat to you lads, for a job well done. I am constantly in awe of our brothers and sisters from countries without the western worlds infrastructure, doing such a great job. Spot on. Давным давно известная технология, режутся кольца с разрезом, затем свариваются в одну спираль и далее натягиваются на вал. Главная трудность-в расчётах двух диаметров. А научил индусов какой-то советский инженер, работавший на их предприятии, в свою очередь нами же построенном...

@@balagans это не ты его изобрел , вся информация наших предков содержится в генетической памяти и когда что то нужно сделать , просто надо сосредоточиться на этом и все получится . Если кремировать человека, от него ничего не останется кроме зёрнышка в кобчике, в котором содержится вся его генетическая память.

пробовали мы в своём цеху сделать подобный шнек, конечно же предварительно ничто нигде не почитав и не посмотрев... короче и материал угробили и время, но опыт получили хороший) эти парни действительно заслуживают уважения

всё у них в этом плане в пределах допустимого, они очень изобретательны как наши деды и просто плюют на своё здоровье так же как наши деды. Это у нас модно из себя хозяйственного дворянина строить, понакупят дорогого инструмента обвешают всю мастерскую им и всё жизнь удалась, когда никогда сделают чепуху для дома и типа "мастера"

Interesting. Thanks for the video. A lot of Ingenuity. I wonder if spinning the screw across a widening taper that matches the pitch as you rotate, and then tack welding it into position, would help to maintain the pitch?

я не специалист по шнекам, да и применение у них разное бывает, но разве шаг шнека выставляется как получилось? Ну в кустарных условиях делают молодцы и думаю востребовано у них это, пойди ка сделай такое, но то что он от заводского отличается по качеству даже сомневаться не приходится.

conveying grain,coal, sandin many industries, cement plants use them to fill large tanks so they can use gravity to weight ingredients for each batct

I like these videos - probably from Pakistan - showing how basic skills are used to make special things - similar videos I've watched had quite unhappy-looking faces - at least at the end of this one a guy is smiling (probably the boss) - and being cool with the sunglasses and swapping out poses with his fellow workers so kudos for that.
