What brand of pencils did you use, and does it mater? Something tells me they weren't Caran d'Ache. Next time do the same thing but make a design with the placement of the pencils. Like a mosaic flower design or a sunset

Whats the point of making a vase with colour pencils.. you can simply paint the pattern or print it to the flower vase instead of doing so much labour and wasting actual colour pencils

Shame the finish wasn't smooth on the top of the pencils, spoils an otherwise nice piece. I'd maybe apply another layer of resin over the surface and polish back to get a nice even coat. Nice piece otherwise.

@@janethobbs2226 Not sure why you have to make an ad hominem attack. In the final rotations of the vase you can clearly see the imperfections in the finish on the shoulders where the finish hasn't settled smoothly. As a turner myself, it's simply giving advice and I even comment it's a nice piece otherwise.
