Acrylic pouring Medium:
My home made pouring medium used for my usual work is a pre mix of 70% keep it simple pouring medium and 30% warm water.
I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed, not all paint brands may go well with this pouring medium, so just test out.
paint brands mostly used are the Global impasto paints, Amsterdam paints, pebeo paints,also Mont marte studio acrylics.
I Certainly explore different brands and mediums, it’s all part of the learning process.
You can add a tablespoon of floetrol to each paint cup and stir instead of silicone for more cells.
Extra special cell and lace and bloom like creation is found with Amsterdam paints add Aussie floetrol until correct consistency required, then used in pour or used to swipe details, “Aussie slides” are easily created this method.
I’m not using silicone very often at all (2023)
If I add silicone this is what I do.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint, and cover with a damp cloth, as I have found I have much better results.

I love your outlook on life, you areI rite about enjoy your art, have fun with it, no one has to love it but you. You’re always so happy and I love it keep smiling and laughing. I’ve enjoyed your work over the last 4+ years, you’ve been an inspiration to me, I always had the mindset of “I can’t do Art”, well, I’m no Rembrandt, but more than a couple of people own some of my Art and I have to credit you! You kept so many of us entertained and sane these past crazy years, I think of you as a wonderful, long-distance friend, I always take time out to watch your videos! Being a fine artist myself for 50 years, having been on the board of directors of art museums, I would advise anyone who feels the needs to speak derogatory comments about someone else's artistic methods needs to examine yourself. Your need to post something that is belittling speaks to the kind of person you are not the artist. If you don't care for a particular kind of art that is ok, we all have different preference , but keep your derogatory comments to yourself. Thank you Gilly for a relaxing 11 minutes.💖💖💖

I don't see it as lazy. There are elderly that there hands get tired or hurt but still want to make beautiful flowers and this makes it much easier. Thank you for showing me this way of making flowers. Brilliant

Grrr! I get so angry when I hear people insult the artists who do paint pouring. They are totally ignorant! I've taught it to seniors and they were over the moon with their work. Most of them had never done any kind of art in their lives. I do hope you don't let them get to you. They are not worth your time! Most people love what you do. I'm one of them!

It is gorgeous and by watching your videos puts joy in my heart when I am having a bad day. Wow!, That turned out Beautiful. I was a little worried about the first few colors, but I'm telling you, you always make awesome color choices Gilly. I am so glad you are getting the Help Gilly. I literally saved a Client of mine's son from hurting himself any further. I got the ambulance and Police there and took away a pistol from him reaching for it. He detoxed and spent the last week in the hospital, and tomorrow is going to a long term rehab, and help for him to get well with counseling, support, and hopefully new visions after. I pray for you and all who are struggling with things in their lives. As I have in the past too. There is help out there a phone call away, a friend or family will listen and help you get the professional help.

Gilly, First off, "Thank You" so much for being a voice for those who may hold all their emotions and problems inside, so that others won't know their pain. It is hard to open up and be real when you are in pain of any kind. Secondly, I love this painting, and if you are a "lazy artist" then, hey let me join you in learning how to create beauty, without a lot of "work or worry," and be able to have more time to "play and create" 😉 And those people are usually unable to actually create something beautiful...I found "Balloon Kissing" isn't the easiest ability at all 🙄 but I keep trying...I say: "Have Faith, and Hope will follow" naysayers usually have neither. Thanks Gilly, love your artwork and your heart 💖❤❣

What the … people if you don’t like this style of art don’t watch it. No one is forcing you to watch. You make a conscious decision to do so. Why do people have to be mean? Have never got that. Love how this turned out. And after trying the balloon it takes a while to be able to wield it successfully. You make it look easy. Ok rant over. lol

Blooming heck (I wanted to swear, but this is too nice a channel for that kind of language), Gilly, there are some right know-alls in the world! As you keep telling us, it's YOUR art, YOUR way! I do hope you've banned them from your channel, as they're obviously trolls, and who needs a troll in their lives? Nasty, odious little things. I, for one, love your art! I haven't loved EVERY piece, but that's a very rare occurrence. However, I'd NEVER say that something is not good, etc. The few pieces I haven't loved were still good, but just not my taste, usually in colour. I still appreciate the work you've put in, and I know that there are a lot of others who do love what I didn't, and vice versa. At least you know that your real fans/subs enjoy your work!

Hahahha... there is a term I use often... work smarter not harder. If I "bake" the cake using scratch ingredients or a box mix.. it's STILL homemade. We are each a unique creation of God and we in turn make unique creations using whatever works best for each of us.

I just listened to something that I can’t believe I’m hearing lazy artist. You are a beautiful artist. Your work is amazing. I like to see what they could do instead of giving a good compliment even if you don’t like it just say you don’t like it tell the truth, but you don’t have to be sarcastic or rude about it. It wasn't as if I was copying someone else and had no idea what she was talking about. Art and crafts aren't for only a few selected people, is it?
