I'm amazed at the specificity of this little shop. It's just for refurbing jacks? Just think of the hundreds of specific machine shops to fix the multitude of things that can't be readily or cheaply purchased to replace. Amazing.

Here are some specialized ambulant services in the third world that you might not know about. Umbrella repair, barber, knife sharpening, shoe shine/repair, electric fan repair, circumcision (no anesthesia/frowned upon but still not illegal, very rare now), hog insemination (real male pig as opposed to the artificial insemination).

Great stuff. Check out these young guys and how focused they are to learn the trade. These guys get it done with very little to work with. There's something to be learned here other than the obvious. Thank You guys, with all I have, you guys have inspired me. Thank You. Get that young kid a pair of "TIMS" , he earned them.

After watching a few Pakistani videos, I am now convinced, that you cannot repair anything in Pakistan without a hammer.

No Hammer, no repair. Fire is also vital. 'adjust to 80 Nm torque' = Hammer, maybe with a spanner as well. 'pre-heat to 120 C, then increase to a 320 C temper' = Fire, more fire, then water.

El uno por mil, de los videos que he visto, en los talleres tienen firmemente fija en su base la Prensa Mecánica Manual que usan en los bancos de trabajo. El resto es al revés, esto indica claramente que en el trabajador no existe espíritu de organización ni preocupación en sus herramientas y menos aún podría tenerla en sus labores.

Son prácticamente artesanos, viven es una economía de subsistencia dónde cada uno genera sus propios ingresos. No esperan sentados que el Estado les de de comer. Han evolucionado bastante a lo que era años anteriores. No dejes que el árbol (la prensa) te tape el bosque.

TIP. when unscrewing the large pipe, keep the ram in the cylinder and line up the ram wide seal area with where you put the wrench. Otherwise you might warp-oval the pipe and cause a problem with the ram sealing. It is supposed to be perfectly round.

Using a grinding disk where a wire wheel would be preferable. And that hammer. Destroying those working surfaces. A fork seems to be unknown tho these guys. Removing so much metal from the working surfaces will greatly reduce the working load of the jack. Vice grips would also be of a big help. especially when using a wire wheel to clean parts. How many hand injuries do these guys get? 6:00 that grinder is sliding on its mounts. 10:07 - that kid with bare hands in that solvent. He will live a long and healthy life.

No way? How can they work without safety officer, book keeper, office personnel and 6 layers of management??? But seriously, those guys look happier then average shop guy in the US. Also for lack of safety equipment they seem to be missing less fingers and toes than average us workshop.

If he would just tighten up those bolts of the vise to the table it would be tons more stable. Same goes for the bench top grinder. They are both very loose.

Excellent work ! However, the master should have paid more attention to his and workers’ health. He is not a one time DIYer. He does this everyday ! Safety brother , safety ! Gloves, Eye protection , mask and better shop organization. This missing part in all Pakistan Repair videos is the “ professional working culture”. This is something can be achieved if the section of the government comes up with better training, improved “ working conditions” standards and imposing the laws. So, improved efficiency and human health can be achieved soon.

Даже я как человек всего 3 раза перебиравший гидравлику страдаю от фейспалма Сначала вставляется плунжер в смазаный малый цилинд и только потом он прикручивается А иначе все эти резинки идут через одно место Остальные моменты это тож дичь То что он поршеть на абразиве чистил... ну да ну да - потом там даже новые резинки будут ходить долго долго не иначе Раза на 2-3 поднять пойдет потом опять ему привезут чтоб снова чинил

How professional can you do a job when you fucking throw EVERYTHING on the dirt floor, reuse the oil , o-rings change? no, sir ! Paint over grime and your best friend is a big hammer? Not. No wonder those guys are busy .. Their repairs last only a week. But I do admire their ingenuity with simple tools and hard work to provide for their family.
