SNAP ON WOULD GO BROKE IN PAKISTAN. THESE GUYS USE FOUR TOOLS TO TEAR DOWN, AND REBUILD A COMPLETE VEHICLE. VERY FREAKIN IMPRESSIVE. GOD BLESS THEM

This chap did a good job but I cannot understand why he used brazing instead of welding , thread is much softer in brazing!!!!!!

John I think it is because the housing is cast iron and brazing alloy is strong enough. Watching him set the internal thread points out why cleaning a bad thread is called CHASING THE THREAD. in US English

@@jayreiter268 Thanks for the reply, I was under the impression that the nut was made of steel!! Looking again at the video it is as you said the nut is made of cast iron!!!Here in Malta we also call it chasing the thread, as we have been a British colony for nearly 200 years and I did my apprenticeship in an admiralty ship yard as a machinist!!

@@johnhili8664 The housing that holds the gears is cast iron. the nut might be steel. I Wonder what these other fellows call chasing a thread in their language. Or do machinist have a common language..
