Thanks for the review and recommendations. For a weekend home diy and mechanic, it's so easy to be lost in the reviews that only the very expensive tools work.

Thank you. I needed to take the battery out of my car, and my husband was at work. I did not have the adequate tools to preform the simplest car maintenance. I am just looking for a simple set to keep in my car. This was helpful. I wouldn't use it enough to get a high grade set. This put my mind at ease when making an unusual purchase.

Man Amazon is really after Harbor Freight. As soon as I saw it, I taught Harbor Freight 225 piece tool set.

I seen these after I replaced most of my borrowed permanent tools lol... with Pittsburgh, and a travel set for the toolbox on my truck ep auto 1/4, and 3/8 inch socket set like for interior starter distributor and inside the dash work.. and a full 1/4 inch duralast socket set I was going to keep in my toolbox in the garage,I had three complete sets of 3/8,1/4, and 1/2 inch great neck, and two complete mechanics sets from Craftsman made in USA, and two of my great neck sets were older tooling. I also had a complete 1/4 inch great neck socket set I used for interior work mostly, those were the borrowed tools, along with 65 percent of the rest of my tools.. I planned to buy the DeWalt 192pc mechanics set but then I realized just how much of my tools have been borrowed....yay.. anyways I kinda like the epauto tools

Good summary and review , I bought a HF wrench set and socket set 2 weeks ago for my work van , cheap of coarse but should last me a long time at work , I agree , all tools have a place .

Thanks for the comment! Harbor Freight has some pretty good stuff in my opinion. A lot of it's cheap like you said, but i've had some of their tools and even some power tools for many years now and they haven't given me any problems yet.

It's such a shame Amazon has such a dominant position in the market. They just see what's trending, copy the product to a good enough standard and undercut other brands on the price. It's nuts..

Lol sorry but people will COMPLAIN about anything ordered from Amazon. When they see poor shipping but the product was not damaged they will complain, Unbox the product and something fell out its track they will complain. I have shopped on amazon for a very long time and I have seen the most ridiculous reviews. I always jump to the negative reviews and it ALWAYS give me a good laugh. I even ordered something that had lots of negative feedback and it worked very good for me in fact I still have it after 3 years. It’s sad the review system is so messed up. I care less about negative feedback and buy the product anyways. People complain too much these days. Sorry for the long comment and great video! I’ll defiantly check this toolset out.

Man, I hear ya there. Reading through some of the comments on this so that I could cover them for the video had me cracking up pretty good. Even something like vehicles people will give them a 1 star rating because the cup holders are "too small" haha...people are ridiculous sometimes. Thank you for the comment though man!

That craftsman socket is laser etched. They had already cheapened them by that point. I bought a few of them as replacements. They don't compare to craftsman sockets from previous versions that had stamped sizes.

don't get me wrong I'm pretty brand loyal but I'm also a very practical person it's just save me a bunch of money and hopefully from a breakdown in my van... when times are a bit tight you got to make your decisions I had my tools stolen in the spring originally I wanted to see if these tools would do the job once... looks like they might last me awhile

Is it possible to get measurements of the carrying case? I have a low profile toolbox and my 154 piece craftsman case doesn't fit but this looks more long then tall which may work.

You mentioned wrenches kobalt ratchet wrenches off eBay for about $70, and tekton wrench set $83 for sae and metric I was impressed and I got two screwdrivers as a gift also, I have Pittsburgh wrenches but I don't know what I think of them... And Milwaukee Max bite ratchet wrenches, and titan and gearwrench wrench sets seem ok, but honestly my tekton wrench set was cheaper.

This wouldn't be a bad set to keep in the back of your truck/car when a set is eventually needed, cheap tools can get the job done more often than not if you are not someone who works on vehicles for a living. Biggest con to this set really seems to be a lack of extensions, you can have the nicest tool set at any price range but if you need a 6 inch extension and all you have is a 3 it's useless to you in that moment.

Ok I’m actually impressed by how it looks. Personally I’d go with kobalt or husky for a portable tool kit. Otherwise I like snap on tools.

That's a really good question. I may have to do a video on that! It's tough to say but I'm willing to bet that the same tool manufacturer makes both of these brands. that's just a guess though I'm not sure.

Having a lot of "bits" is not good. It is known as "filler" in the tool community!
@casketblack5660
@casketblack5660 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but all those bits break really easy. thats the big problem ive got with these tool sets. by having all those cheap ass bits thrown in bumping up the total number of pieces in the set kinda pisses me off. Because all those bits are bs. you didnt abuse that ratchet even a little bro?! Or any of em? Whats up with that? how you gonna say any of those ratchets are worth a shit.

Buddy your "High quality" "LIFETIME WARRENTY" Ratchet and your Amizon ratchet are both 72 tooth ratchets! There's nothing too special about it these days! 36 was old school 72 is new standard 84 tooth was a Craftsman PRO THING 90 TOOTH EXIST WITH KOBALT AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST STANLY MAKES A 120 TOOTH RATCHET SOLD AND MANY WAL-MART SUPER CENTER. HAVE A BLESSED DAY.
@MidwestGarage
@MidwestGarage 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the info! You are correct that nowadays the Amazon ratchet is pretty much standard...I didn't say it's the best ratchet out there, but the fact that it, along with the entire tool kit, is at the quality that it is, for that cheap of price is pretty impressive. I will have to check out the Stanley 120 tooth ratchet!
@WorkHorseLT
@WorkHorseLT 4 жыл бұрын
The 90 tooth icon ratchet is better than kobalt and the Stanley is a 120 position ratchet not 120 tooth and the craftsman rhft which came out in the 70s have 90 tooth
