These are carbon steel forged super thin wrenches, that are almost as thin as bicycle cone wrenches which is handy but not obvious in the product description if you were expecting standard thickness thin wrenches. These are have the thickness of name brand thin wrenches or nearly 1/4 the thickness of a stand wrench in their respective size. They do not have great quality control and won't take a lot of torque especially considering they are only carbon steel.

I picked up a set for woodworking... needed thin wrenches to get at my planer blades. A decent set for not being CV.

I wish I had known about thin wrenches like this when I was working on bicycles cuz whenever you did pedals you needed a thinner wrench than a standard thickness one. But pedals need to be really tight so I'm not sure these would get it done. Parks makes a special big wrench for pedals

Catus, That is funny I have the Capri thin wrench in metric from 6mm to 24mm. I just look on Amazon SAE stop a 3/4 inch, you would think they would go to an inch, given the fact that old tapped wrench did go to 1 inch.

Most of the time when youtubers post product links, they're trying to make money. It's not about researching for the best price as a free service to the viewers. They get a small commission if someone buys the product through their link. I think it's called the amazon affiliate program. If your viewers want to find the best price before they purchase, let them do their own research. If they want to be lazy and just click the link you provide then you earned the few cents for your service.

Which is completely fair compensation for his time and effort in reviewing the tool for me in a non biased manner prior to me wasting my time buying it and deciding I don't like it.

The metric set skips 15mm and 16mm, which really limits their usefulness as cone wrenches.

I recently bought both the tappet wrench sets from Mac, left my CC with the office so they could get them for me while I was out in the field. The damn things are bent every which way out of the box. Super disappointing for Mac prices. I have the Grip thin wrenches which are stamped, unfortunately they dont have the long handles like a tappet wrench.

Check out AN8505 wrenches if you need thin and strong wrenches. They are hard to find and rarely cheap but work well.

Can't Carbon Steel (in a better product) be heat treated to harder than CR-V? My impression was that CR-V was primarily useful for keeping the product minty with a small amount of factory cosmoline and/or not start rusting as soon as the chrome plating started to fail.

Yes a 1095 carbon steel could be heat treated to be very hard but Chrome Vanadium also offers hardness with abrasion resistance with fatigue and crack resistance which very hard carbon steel does not have

Catus, what are these for that you cannot use a ratchet or plier wrench like Knipex to also accomplish the job?

There are situations (especially bicycles) where there is very thin lock nuts that no normal thickness wrench will fit into.
