In this video we review of the all new Amazon Fire Max 11, as this tablet enters the market as a new competitor of budget or midrange productivity tablet. The amazon fire max 11 presents many improvements on the previous generation of amazon fire tablets we have seen in the past, including the likes of the amazon fire 10 and the amazon fire 10 plus. As I highlight in the video, the amazon fire max 11 presents as a productivity tablet, but this is a statement that should not be taken at face value, simply because the competition is very tight out there for all tablets categories, especially in the Android world. Samsung tablets, Xiaomi, Lenovo and many other manufacturers offer very competitive options.

I had one delivered for $150 (Prime Day) and easily installed the Google Play Store and required services to get access to the normal Android applications. No issues yet, but it's only been a little over 24 hours.

New subscriber. Nice video. I will be upgrading from a 7th gen fire 8. Not ready to really get another fire tablet. Looking forward to those comparisons on the p11,p11 pro and samsung s6 lite. Heck even the xiaomi pad 6 possibly? Hopefully you'll do them before prime day (wink wink). Personally I'm leaning towards a samsung s6 lite.

I just purchased one about two weeks ago. I bought it over a comparable size Samsung tablet (screen size for the buck). I use it mainly for reading and such. I have added the google play store via Fire Toolbox. I wouldn't recommend this method for everyone as it requires a PC and a bit of tech savvy. I was in tech related jobs for 30 years so for me this was no issue. I find the fire 11 to be pretty snappy performance wise and am quite happy with it. The only complaint I have is that today (Prime Day) it is priced at $149 compared to the $229 I paid for mine.

That is a great deal! I have the Amazon HD 10 that I'm perfectly happy with. I side loaded Google, bought an SD card and removed the O I can do everything I like TV and movies, music, and social media as well as shopping . I really don't need a new one right now Thanks for the video

I have the Fire HD 10 and the original Samsung galaxy S6 lite, and I love both of them. I don't need another tablet, but if I get a wild hair; the iPad 9 would be my choice for value and performance.

Can OEMs just get rid of rear facing tablet cameras and put all the camera investment into the front facing camera? All most people want on a tablet is the front facing camera to be high quality for video calls, especially since we usually just use our smartphone cameras for high quality rear photos.

I like your videos. The iPad 9th Generation is currently on sale as of today for $250 so for a little more, you get a much better tablet, in my opinion. I used to own the Fire 8 plus and Fire 10 Plus tablets, but I won't go back. I'd rather have pure Android or iPadOS

Traditional android OEM's offer terrible software support at the budget end of the market. You will not find 5 years or more of software and security support, at this price from any other company and that includes Samsung and Apple. Yes, you can buy an ipad 9 for $250 but at this point in it's lifespan, it's likely got 2 years of support left in the tank, with no micro SD expansion to boot. I only buy Fire tabs and "budget" ipads. I still cannot bring myself to take a risk on pure android tabs, because even at the sub $300 price point, most android tabs aren't supported for much longer than one year, after initial release (see Lenovo).

@@mw7967 When I had my Fire tablets, I would add the Google Play Store to them. Most of the apps worked, but some didn't. I'd rather have an Adroid tablet such as a Samsung (I do have the Samsung Tab A7 lite, which is comparable to the Fire 8. The disadvantage of the Samsung is that you can't use the SD card memory for apps, but it has the Google Play Store and Samsung seems to be updating it. Yes, the iPad 9 was released in 2021 but I think it will have more than two years of security and support left.

@@mariogonzalezpc I see where you're coming from. Personally, I've never had an issue with the Fire tabs, because I'm easily able to sideload any app which might be unavailabe from Google Play directly. I don't see muvh value at the budget end of the android tablet market, as most OEM offer terrible support. I almost caved and bought a lenovo P11, but I don't see them being supported for more than two years, at best. The fire tabs offer better value, in my opinion, especially for the price.

It can't do VPN connection, like to a workplace or school. It's been removed from the settings. (was in previous versions, but for some reason they removed it.).. Not talking about intalling a VPN App, which is something different.

I ended up sending mine back after 24 hours. The lack of apps from the Google play store has always been a letdown for the Amazon tablets. I feel like they are best for some light gaming and video consumption. It's not really a productivity tool, especially if you're used to the galaxy tab series.

Can you please consider comparing the Amazon fire 11 max with the galaxy a8 they're similar. This tablet would lose badly compared to the high-end galaxy models. Even a best budget s6 lite can shame a fire max 11

I'm typing this on an A8. Is the A8 pen compatible? Other than that, the A8 has 4 speakers vs 2. I don't think I'm missing the extra inch not having the Amazon tablet. I'd love to see thar side by side review.

I laugh, every time I hear anyone say, "productivity and tablet" in the same sentence. It's ludicrous and absurd. The bottom line is that most people who use these things for supposed "productivity" are not doing much beyond lite word processing, lite document anotation. and answering quick emails. No one photo edits on these things. 95% of all users are doing the same core tasks on their tablet and Amazon knows it: reading, web surf, and video. The only tablet that one could possibly say is somewhat a "productivity" device is a Surface tablet. "Productivity" is nothing more than a sales pitch. It's a fabricated use case invented by tablet makers, sold to consumers, with youtube influencers pushing the narrative. Serious productivity is stil best accomplished on desktop operating systems. "Productivity tablet" is a contradiction in terms, invented to sell a product to consumers, who in turn justify the purchase by way of quite literally buying into the falacy. I really love my tablets but can't stand it, when crap marketing is used as a basis for comparison.

So are you limiting "productivity" to photo editing? Is word processing, annotation, emails, meetings not being productive? There are different levels of being productive, so it depends on the person.

My point is that no one is using tablets for photo or video editing, as their primary device, aside from maybe a handful of KZfaq content creators, simply because it feeds their content viewership. Regardless, your response does little to dispute my point.

@@crazyvoice12fair enough. Again, my point is that no serious productivity is done on a tablet. It's a supplemental, secondary deviance and in that respect, Amazon's tab's are just as good as any. How many corporations/small business owners are running their businesses on a tablet? I'd say few, if any.
