Less talky talky more flashy flashy

An eyebrow tint in the front windshield helps a lot to protect the lights if you have them hidden well. I bought two exprite units like these and they been working just fine. I think I've have them for two years with them already. I also have the back windshield traffic light bar from xsprite. That one definitely gets a 10 out of 10.

I also have a couple of these units and they have been in service for 5 years (on the front windshield) with none of the issues (warping) your unit has. Mine was also an Amazon cheapo, but branded as Tocus, not xsprite. Interesting.

I just got that one from amazon for $25 and installed it in my truck and tbh it’s decent and for the money I am a probie and and live a little far from the fire house and I realize that you need some kind of light to move people out of the way if you want to make calls. I plan on upgrading in the next year but for now the cheap one works fine and is very bright even in the day time

I have a box full of burnt whelen leds very expensive burnt leds... two Whelen talons burnt out half way two whelen ions red/blue.. blue burnt out and 4 whelen Lin 6s all of them burnt. I prefer cheap Amazon stuff now over whelen at least if it breaks it was $20 and not $300

Now I want a POV setup with the new lights

One of my xprites ended up messing up. After a little less than a year it ended up in a "dim always on state" also had major issues with temp changes and it falling off the glass as well as the shield falling off

I'll happily take that amazon knock off

I rather pay half price for the same thing

I ended up buying a Viper clone to replace 2 lights, an old Star Signal ULB9, the first gen with the exposed diodes, and a slightly newer HQRP light, I was talking about the new light and a new member of our force wanted to buy a light, I gave him a good deal on the HQRP, as I had recently replaced the cord and fixed some connections inside the light to improve performance, the LEDs were getting dim due to poor soldering, as when I reflowed the joints and added solder where needed it brightened up nicely, the ULB9 was an interim replacement for the HQRP, as it took awhile for the "Fiper" to arrive,, it's perfectly adequate for a stop gap when your old light just dies, as that's what the Star Signal did, the connections inside haven't taken kindly to my driving and have failed, it's fixable, but I don't have the time or patience to work on another light for now. Credit where it's due, that old HQRP, despite being an utter P.O.S is well made, all aluminum construction, a design that just works, little to no adjustment or assembly needed out the box, and it's bright enough for the price

I just bought a couple of blue and white XPrites to outfit my car from Amazon . $50 and I got lights all the way around. Hope they last me a year or two

I will all ways buy the amazon ones because I you can buy the Whelen lights from their website. Especially in Canada

I bought a Amber Xtauto Dash Light with a red button on the thing and mine is bright and works Great and only spent $21 ( I would say if you are a firefighter I would say spend more tho )

I am searching for lights that can be used for emergency situation for civilians, Like flat tires or funeral something of that nature,

Amazon is way more cost effective. Think about it this way, most people who need emergency lights in their vehicles and have to pay for them themselves are just going to want something that does the job and arent going to be interested in spending hundreds just for a light that may not be used all the time anyway. Whelen is best for police/security where the agency/company has loads of money and foots the bill. For a private individual, amazon beats whelen

When I turn 14 ima join my local volunteer firefighter I’ll have to be a junior when I turn 16 and get a vehicle I want 3 dash lights at the bottom of my windshield then visor lights up top and a light bar also two dash lights in the back glass and and two whelen t ions at the License plate
