I could sense that for the first time Dr. Shashi Tharoor wasn't able to render very justified and satisfied answers as long lasting remedies for the emancipation of Dalits all together for the questions posed by Dr. Suraj hengde and from the audiences. However, I do appreciate it for the dialogue held with the Dalit Intellectual on an equal basis, shows the courage of Dalits. Thank you tharoor sir for hearing us. We love you with honesty not because you're a brahmin but because of your intellectuality and faith in the democratic values.

This is Nonsense. Caste can be changed. Visvamitra was a Ksatriyah and became a Brahman. Caste is also not by birth , King Rsabhadev had many sons, some were Ksatriyahs and some were Brahmans . The Distortion of the Caste system has a long history but it is because people don't know Hindu sastra. Europe also had Caste before the British came to India. They had Nobles, Merchants, peasants. So did Egypt, so did every civilization on the face of the planet. Caste is not a social construct. Caste is a natural occurrence but so is corruption on any system. Corrupt and indignity of Human beings has to be fought not Caste. In every school class there are the intelligent students , mediocre students and Poor students. This phenomenon is there across the globe and across all time periods , It is not a social construct.
