Hi guys! For today's video I decided to paint an still life of a candle on top of books. I tried using autumn colours again, to get the cozy feeling, but you can still customise it according to your tastes! I also got teeth aligners when I was scheduled to voice over this video, so it was still a bit uncomfortable to talk. I hope you guys don't mind the subtitles instead of the voice over as I was painting, and enjoyed the music with the video. Happy painting everyone! ^_^

I like hearing your voice so I can paint and listen instead of trying to read and paint. Nice video. The cinnamon roll looked amazing too. I too love painting with those earthy colors. Thank you for sharing your work.

You are a great teacher and I really rely on your instructions as it helps me learn a lot. So for the tutorials I really prefer voice over.

Nia, another beautiful painting!! Because you asked for feedback, I found it challenging to keep up with reading the subtitles while trying to simultaneously watch your brush strokes. I'm not a fast reader, haha! So I will be rewatching this and using the pause button many times... it'll work out. I learned a lot from this video! Thank you! Edit: I slowed the playback speed in the settings, and that helped me a lot! I should've thought of that sooner 🐱

I’m Dutch and for me it’s not possible to watch and read (and translate) at the same time. I didn’t enjoy this video an the others. Thank you anyway for making this. Love it and learned a lot. ❤️🍀

Yes, same here. I’m legally blind and I just can’t read subtitles on videos. And with painting tutorials, I can’t tell what you’re doing with only video. Audio instruction paired with visual demonstration works better for me. This is a beautiful painting, though! It makes me want to curl up with a good book!

I like your voice, explaining things. Text is just too short to capture all the details. And music is a question of taste. I often put the loadness down to zero, when I notice, that a video has music. And then I am fast asleep in a sec. Worst of all are videos, in which voice and music changes every now and then, because then the voice explanations are lost for me. Please do your voiceovers again. That is my opinion.

I enjoy both types of videos-those with and without voiceover. For learning, having the voiceover helps as I’m not trying to read captions and missing what you’re doing on the screen. // Looking forward to watching your new Skillshare class! 💝

As for now I just watch your videos to relax while knitting or crafting other stuff. I love your art and enjoy all of your videos. I prefer the ones you talk us trough the process. Because of your videos I will try to start painting with watercolors, but have to buy some supplies first.

I like the music in the background it wasn't too loud or strong. I like the words. my style of learning is I do by watching so I don't need a lot of talking. I really love your paintings I have learned a lot about water coloring from you. Keep painting you inspire me.

Feedback: Positive: This is adorable! I can't wait to try it, your work is so inspiring. Constructive: I need things dumbed down. I would feel more confident if you talked me through the steps rather than inserting subtitles. And I am not confident yet and need to see EVERY step, so when you jump I think "Wait! How'd she get there!" I'd rather have an hour and a half tutorial than a 20 minute skipping one. 😁

Thanks for the feedback! As for longer videos, I'm afraid that's not something I can do for youtube as that would mean that I won't be able to post videos once a week. It takes a very long time for me to edit, and if I were to say every process it would take weeks to produce a video. I’m quite new to your channel but one of the main reasons apart from your beautiful arts that make me keep coming back to your video is because of your soothing voice and helpful instruction. I mean the background music is lovely and all but hearing your voice is much better! It helps me focus and comprehend each step while watching you demonstrate it in the video. Or sometimes I just use your video as a lullaby to help me sleep! Thank you for doing what you’re doing. I believe that you really help a lot of people in many ways. 😊

You're painting is just simply exquisite! I was so memorized and drawn into the process with the beautiful and calming music, I really didn't pay attention to the subtitles. For some reason, around the 12 min mark I became a bit emotional and I have no idea why! Lol. I think just from the beauty of it all and just feeling so peaceful. You are SO extremely talented. I do love your voiceovers too, but maybe sometimes you can just thrown in these types of videos as well so we can just sit back and watch you create such stunning pieces of art. These mini pumpkins are a favorite of mine. I grow them every year for Fall decorations. They are called "Jack be Little" LOL. Lovely still life! Miss your voice. I will watch any video you release!

I love your work. I love the content. I like hearing your gentle banter as you paint. I don’t want to have to stop and read in the middle of the work when I paint along. I find I have to do a lot of rewinding and it slows me down.

Hermosa ilustración ❤️😍❤️ Las personas dicen que les gusta mas cuando hablas en off, noooo yo no, prefiero este estilo con la música suave y voy a explicar porque, primero yo veo varias veces el video, luego escojo una foto con un diseño y colores similares a tu ilustración y comienzo a pintar sola, sin mirar, así es como realmente se aprende, si nos acostumbramos a mirar y pintar no lo lograremos, , la única forma de aprender es hacerlo uno mismo e ir corrigiendo errores en el camino ó repetir el proceso después de analizar que hice mal. It was difficult to focus on your painting because I was constantly looking to read the subtitles, then I had to back up the video to refer back to the painting. Either works for me, whether it's voiced or subtitled instructions. It's up to you which one feels less tedious to do. I'm a visual learner so just watching the video is good enough.

that is so beautiful... I really love how you give in depth instructions both before beginning and during the painting.. it really helps weak people like me.. BTW..THIS ONE IS SO GOOD FOR HALLOWEEN!!

I started this one in watercolour, didn't like it, so I started over and now I'm painting it with pastels. Let's see how it comes out. Thanks for the lovely video 😊💐❤️
