I ❤ fairy tales + my library will be the same. I ❤ that she’s thrifty & diy princess ( ThiftyAmber). I tell my interior designer I want this ( like Amber) and they find it ( sometime not so thrifty 😉). It wld be nice if I could just hire Amber since our taste is almost similar. i kinda hope you see this- amber- i used to have books displayed the same way as you, I CANT NOT STRESS ENOUGH, please go buy book stands so they can be angled like that. After about 6 years, the books started to get bends in them and the pages. it you want to preserve them, stands 😭 i had to work to get them to lay flat again. so jot worth it

I so appreciate how you shop! I see a lot of influencers just buying a whole lot of fast fashion or “fast produced” stuff, especially clothing. Buying pre-loved books (especially collecting them), quality designer, things you need (orthopedic shoes) is just such a great example of how to spend money if you are able to spend this much. It’s not buying just to buy, it’s buying things you love and will appreciate until they are no longer able to be admired/used or until they are passed on to the next person!

Hey babe, tip for your extensions. When they start getting ratty looking, wet them and lather them with conditioner and give them a brush (with the conditioner still in the hair). Rinse them and dry them with a hair drier x Works wonders for mine! It is work but worth it and will save you money ahaha x

I'm so late to watching this, but I was honestly saving it for a day when I needed a little extra pick me up and wanted something to make me smile, and this did exactly that. I love how passionate Amber is about everything that she collects and how excited she gets over opening packages and getting a fancy collar for her dog. I try my best to be like her but some days, I just fall flat. I think she'd want me to be gentle with myself and tell me not to force myself to be happy if I'm just not feeling it that day 💜💜💜💜

You should get some of the clear acrylic book holders for the vintage storybooks, because all I can think about is if the books slide down and push the crystals off the shelf 😅❤

Arie has had the best leggings for years! ( I made the switch 7/8 years ago and never looked back) The staff and size range are amazing too. And they have by far the smartest idea ever. They automatically switch out the thinner leggings for the thicker leggings in the winter (at least in Canada where the thicker leggings have saved me from freezing more times than I can count while still looking cute) but the thinner legging are available online all year around so you still have choice.

Helpful tip, to keep the old books from disintegrating handle them with gloves, it's the oils and dirt from our fingers/hands that makes books wither away so quickly

Those vintage books should have UV glass on them also be careful of those crystal reflections starting a fire in intense sun, idk if that’s real but I’ve heard it can be in the perfect conditions

After a little research I found out that Blackletter variety is the oldest writing font used in the 12th - 17th century. Maybe you could use that as your font for your new logo? ❤

Can not stress this enough. If you want the pages to last you need to preserve them somehow within a containment. Sitting them up on the stands like that is going to lead them to be at risk of bending, mould, water damage and even more discolouration. Your collection is beautiful, just look after those books even more as they deserve to be.

for really old books, it’s been proven that gloves do more harm than good, because gloves can snag the delicate fibers of old paper.
