There's enough military and armed police in the area, why didn't they keep crowds away from the air ambulance? It isn't Disneyland.

My local air ambulance carries a bucket and people are asked for donations when they come to look

@@Westcountrynordic That's actually a good idea. Nothing wrong with asking for donations by the pilots, that could be beneficial to burn units, children's hospital, trauma centers, Nic-U facilities, if you're going to hover around the Air Ambulance for a photo IMHO

Hi Buska have you got any news about Quaker and Avid the two horses hurt in London a couple of weeks ago please. I’m still so worried about them Thank you. And thanks again for standing up for the guard when that kid was insulting her

Vida…..she isn’t expected to return to duties, however she will be homed at the National Horse Trust Refuge as a retired military horse. Quaker and Vida are both going to be transferred up to Melton as soon as they’re up to the journey. No news on whether or not Quaker will return to duty.

Buska is right. The air ambulance landed on the parade grounds to pick someone up, who was detained. That person may have had seizures, was unstable because of blood pressure or other medical condition. The helicopter was called in to take the person to a near by/specialty hospital, faster than road ambulance. There is no way of telling how long it takes for a patient to be stabilized, before being air lifted out. I would agree, that there is NO reason for unruly tourists.

London Air Ambulance doesn't actually take people to hospital normally, instead it brings an advanced trauma team to the person to treat and stabilise them so they can be taken by road ambulance. This also means they can have a smaller helicopter and land in a lot smaller spaces, which is crucial in a built up environment like central London.

Where are the crowds, people overreacting over nothing. The rotors are static and the engine off. Had it been a problem I guarantee the police wouldn’t have allowed it

I saw the pilots shout at people tapping on the helicopter and standing on the step. Otherwise, they appeared to be the most easygoing people who were engaging with members of the public when they had questions about the air ambulance. Seeing them react like this suggests to me, it really wasn't okay to be behaving like this. Personally, I thought it was extremely disrespectful - they are a charitably organisation too relying on the generosity of the public to keep them up and running.

@@maybarnard1088 not really only a air ambulance. I've been in a military helicopter now that was something. 😊 all I'm saying is they all moved towards it fast without knowing if it was there for a emergency. Being as I said a air ambulance. Before the pilot got out.

@@maybarnard1088 what if the emergency services need to bring a body out that may look quite 0:30 scary for young children. Giving them nightmare’s etc. Who would be to blame? Well it would be the parents or carers of those children, no one else. If you see an air ambulance on a normal location you don’t grab your kid and run over to check if anyone is inside or if it’s a person that looks like road kill. No you would use Common sense and stay back, therefore protecting Your children and possibly yourself. Some people just don’t think.

The suggestion of fund raising, while a helicopter is waiting for a patient to arrive is actually a good idea, when people stand around gawking or wanting a photo. Wouldn't it be beneficial to have a plastic bucket to put donations in, considering the money could go to burn/neo-natal/trauma units? These air ambulances are usually stored/dispatched from a base and called out when the need to recover a patient in a serious situation is necessary, not as you suggest, non emergency.

Oh my stars, what is it with all the moaning and complaining. That helicopter is there for everyone to look at, I suspect it's an AirAmbulance fund raiser. The Ambulance at the front of Horse Guards will likely join the chopper and have people climbing all-over it too.

Right? If it were a medical call-out, no one would have been allowed anywhere near. As well, a patient would have been quickly transferred and the chopper would have taken right off.

What is wrong with people? Kids playing in the dust and their ‘parents’ letting them. Turn the fukkin blades on. About two years ago we had a medical emergency near my house and honest to God when that helicopter landed I thought it was the bloody end of the world. It put the willies up me . (That’s what she said ) . ❤️🇬🇧

Wouldn't want to be close, if the emergency chopper had to take off in a hurry. Noticed how they were all from 1 country those stupid ppl were from,it's like oh a red chopper,let's all get a closer look at it, as I said at the beginning, what if it was an sos call. Any1 say decapitation.
