The story takes place in the early days of the armistice agreement signed between China and the United States.(The agreement signed in July 1953). The story line should happened in winter 1952. The location should be near the 38th Parallel. At that time, the large-scale battle on the Korean battlefield had ended and entered the stage of positional warfare. USMC did join the Korean War at that time.
