Amed Sunset Beach - Bali's Best Kept Secret

I have heard it was nice but I wasnt prepared for how awesome it was.
Amed is about 2+ hours north/east of Denpasar at the foot of the giant Mt Agung Volcano. It has some of the best fishing and diving in the region as well as more dive shops that just about all of Bali.
Off the main highway, you dont get traffic jams or heavy vehicles pushing you off the road, instead you get a sleepy little town, spread out for kilometers along the coastline, dotted with villas, restaurants, warungs and local shops.
Amed Sunset Beach Villas is one of the best places to stay. Awesome staff, a lovely small hotel with comfortable beds, spacious rooms and a beautiful pool. It is meters from the water and boasts a great restaurant as well.
I cant wait to get back!!!

I absolutely love Amed, I was there for a week in August, and am heading back there in November. It's so peaceful and relaxing.

Amed is A Beautiful place to stay for a recharge and refresh after the chaotic energy of the usual touristy places in the south. Nothing better than Mahi Mahi for lunch and a afternoon nap to sound of the waves lapping the shore. Love the Amed coastal strip, so many little spots to explore or do nothing at all......... Eat..... Sleep......Relax.........Repeat. I would easily spend a week to 10 days there when I was able to travel. Looking forward to doing it again.... VERY SOON!

Thank you 🙏 I appreciate all your help in regards to changes to the laws over there just coming in, visitor visa’s , customs forms, apps etc. we’re going to Lovina Beach this week arrive on Saturday. Our last holiday there was October 2019 just before Covid. It’s a beautiful part of Bali. We stayed 5 nights, this time we’re staying 9 nights @ Lovina Beach Resort 🐨🐨🦘

Cheers Muzza, I'm a keen fisho who's been told about Amed but never had the time to get up there, with kids taking priority every time I've been to Bali since mid 90's. Now the kids all gone, next trip with the wife we're heading up there.

Unfortunately because of Facebook there are no more secret places left in Bali. The places where you saw very few people if any are now over run with tourists and are no longer free.
