We have had so many visitors from the US lately and it is an absolute delight. Of course it's not just the US, we've had new friends from New Zealand, Australia, Spain, and more. Thank you so much for your patronage! Our KZfaq audience and B&B guests have been 2 separate groups up to this point, so it is so nice to now have people coming who practically seems to know us, or at least know our story and our dream we have for Queen's Escape. Your support means the world to us.

Learn more about our château, nicknamed, 'Queen's Escape and book a night in our bed & breakfast or start planning your wedding or event: chateaudelatuilerie.com/
Subscribe to our KZfaq channel: @Queen's Escape
Queen's Escape was inspired by the 4 years the Belgian royal family stayed at Château de La Tuilerie during WWII. In particular, it is for the Queen. The king took shelter at a different location in France. We've named each of our guest rooms after great Queens of the past and present from around the world. Margrethe, Eleanor, Catherine, Himiko, Cleopatra, and soon our bridal suite will be ready in honor of Queen Elizabeth II.
With it's sprawling green meadows, 100-year-old trees, and historic location in the small medieval town of Gluges, the 200-year-old château is truly an escape. With 5 guest rooms to rent and a stunning Orangery, we look forward to welcoming you for a visit or to host your wedding or event.

Frenchman here. Being born in France, we take this country as granted. It's always interesting to listen to foreign visitors to remind us how we are lucky to live in such a beautiful place with so much of a long history.

You were very good guests to us. It takes some will to say let’s go - and then actually do it. Especially when you have to cross the ocean to get here. Thank you again for coming, and we hope to see you here again in the future. Stay safe, Bo.

Gosh listening to you talk about your experience was a breath of fresh air to me! My family pokes good natured fun at me for my obsession with France, finally someone else is speaking my language! The architecture, history, beauty and lifestyle that one could have there, it seems like a dream away from the rat race that is the US!

Believe me there are plenty of us in the United States who dream of France. Don’t look at it as an obsession. It’s a true love for history and experiencing places far beyond the very young history of the USA. There is a rat race in France I’m sure in the larger cities. But If you adventure out into the country that’s where you will experience true magic. The food is real, the architecture is romantic, and the thought of wondering who lived here? What was it like back then ? What battle was won or lost? Anyway I hope you can come here. I’m actually still in France. I dropped my friend Mary off to catch a flight back to Minneapolis and I’m staying 5 more days. It’s not easy traveling alone just because it’s lonely! But I wanted to see more and had no reason to go home 😘

Lovely chatting with guests who are also viewer of yours. What a lovely review of some of the attractions in your immediate area. I've always adored the chikden cook/piggery and think it would make a stunning gift shop, which could also suppliment your income for the chateau. A hot tub space is brilliant as well! Cheers!

Just one more comment....after watching the men clean out the wine cellar, I think you could use those two large wooden wine vats for hot tubs.....one inside, one outside at the piggery! It would be so clever and a good way to repurpose the wine vats while maintaining their character! You know they hold liquid very well! Having a hot tub and a cool tub.....with salt water, would relax your guests so much, they would not stay up late!!!!! It would also be a great place for you and Bo to relax after all your hard days toiling away! Cheers!

🍎🇩🇰 🇺🇲 Bo and Karen, Beautiful day! Saw your vlog last night about squatters. Even here in America there are shocking stories about them. This is why since you are going to operate a business in your home, you have to be a step ahead of their games that they love to play. Maybe it could be a good idea, but it doesn't matter how nice a person appears to be, that would include my family coming to stay in your home. I would feel better if you would go a step further and take a photo copy of my passport beside my ID because if I lose it, you have it and for your security you have it and that tells you more about us with the authorities. It's a lot less problematic for references. Also, having your guests when they arrive in your home and you show them their bedroom and bathroom and both of you look at the turning of the water, flushing the toilet, the hot and cold water coming on, there's no holes anywhere, in other words an itemized list that you will check and they will sign that everything in the room that they paid for is operating and in good condition without any dents or holes or marks. Because some people and children have a damage problem, especially children if they have conditions that you don't know about and the parents won't say anything that they intentionally will make marks or holes in the bedroom or will even go as far as cut or mark curtains. I think a lot of people don't know, but children if they are autistic in any way, will see a phycologist to help them with their secret condition. So listing everything you are renting to them, they understand that's it's in their best interest especially yours that nothing is damaged and because they signed to that, they will be more contious to take care of your possessions while they are in your home. Because it's a business rental, you won't have any problems with them signing to your list that everything is in tack. Must tell you my husband is from where? Denmark! All his family lives in Denmark. I'm from Central America, but became an American a couple years ago, so did my husband so we have two passports. So that makes my beautiful daughter half Danish. We have visited Denmark and was very impressed with downtown Copenhagen. My husband is now wanting to go and visit his family this year. Do you know Stephanie at Chateau De Lalande? We like to watch them also. Bye for now, Farvel. 🌴🇫🇷 🇧🇿

Is it an ornate fire mantle in the orangy? If so, it is beautiful. I discovered, a inherited one that doesn't suit a kent fire because the heat is too strong for the wood + airflow (will damage). Just incase for future use.
