I know we had done DUB reactions in the past, so we would love to hear from you in the comments how you feel about the switch. the american characters were saying other characters' names in the normal format westerners say it in (given name, surname), like when how she called him Tomura Shigaraki, whereas the japanese characters would swap it around (shigaraki tomura).. cool detail

Star and Stripes muscles are natural. New Order only lets her established two rules, so to set a new rule she has to undo the old rule. Star had undo her super strength rule to put up a the giant air figure and then combined the laser into a spear to pin down Shigaraki.

*Fun fact:* This season for My Hero actually has a new director. She's pretty good, apparently she directed a few episodes for Hunter x Hunter

So Cassie actually changes art style. When she has the strength rule imposed on herself shes drawn in a more american comic style. Meanwhile when she removes that rule from herself (such as in the Kranos scene) she is drawn instead on Hori's typical manga style

Star's flashback is a reference to the opening scene of the first movie. This also happens in the manga, making at least the first three movies canon.

honestly i prefer sub, but to switch up on one of the last seasons when you've built this dub audience is CRAZY.

Im sorry guys but honestly im with some of the people who prefer dub on this one you guys have so many issues keeping up with stories that are already in your own language making it sub just feels like there'll be more for you guys to get confused on

id prefer that you guys continued with dub from a viewer standpoint, simply due to the fact that you’ve en doing that for the past few years. and when i and others come back this after the season is complete it would through some through a loop!

Dub will pretty much always be two weeks behind sub, and I can understand the worries about spoilers. I prefer dub for you guys, but do what makes the experience best. Also since it looks like no one noticed; All Might saved Star and Stripe’s family during the prologue of the very first MHA movie. Movies are always canon in this series 👍

For those who missed it, Star and Stripe released the order on herself when she decided to use the air figure attack and hold the lasers. At one point, you can see the steam of power flow out of her, which was when she released the "rule" on her body. Manga readers can correct me.

It’s only an extra week behind than normal I don’t know why you would switch now when you’ve watched 6 seasons in dub and will still have to deal with spoilers regardless. Which you’ve already had to deal with for 6 seasons. To me this decision makes no sense and is just confusing

I watch My Hero in sub, but you do you guys as long you guys can keep up with the informations and the story. I recommend to watch Dub with subtitles on it.

personally i prefure it when you guys watch the dub cuz i like to have your reactions up in the background while I work on stuff and it makes it easier to keep up with where you are in the story without having to read subtitles, but tis up to you guys, i'll enjoy what you have got anyways!!

Fun fact Normies if you guys hadn’t realized. Star’s backstory and that scene being saved by All Might is from the first movie aka Two Heroes. So confirming for all of you that movies are canon to MHA.

NGL this is a bit of a bummer because I’ve grown used to the routine of who watches in sub and who watches in dub. I’ll deal with it. But this will take an adjustment period… There’s still Blindwave and Goodwin.

In the manga is easier to see the apparence changes of star n stripe while she aplies the rule to make her strong. When she is without she is still buff, but has the normal horikoshi design, when she applies the rule her style becomes more like the comics of dc and marvel

14:02 Star War reference….ITS A TRAP I say do what’s easiest, if you find it hard to follow while reading subtitles or if you prefer how it sounds with English voice acting go dub if you’re good with it then stay sub. You guys tend to struggle with remembering/understanding what’s going on so just do what’s easiest and most enjoyable for you

(She like Endeavor is completely unaware of All-Might’s decline until AFTER AFO wore his body down into completely unable to use OFA aside his unknown communications and muscle form) And a quirk that has literal divine intervention for a COMMAND to what she touches and god says “Bet but you’re not as strong as All-Might!” Which is…genuinely hilarious. Also this episode is the freaking Star spangled banner in anime form. Which is…unreal. She’s so American it hurts. I genuinely feel like a German immigrant even though I’m born American next to SaS and ALL-MIGHT who is NOT AMERICAN. THAT is how American these two are. Love them SO much.

Honestly I prefer the dub. But then again I’m just a dub girly, so I’m a little biased😂. I really like that you guys watched in dub, because like you said you were one of the only ones who watched in dub. Luckily there are a couple others I can watch now (Ex: Blind Wave, Letts React, A Goodwin TV, etc...) But, I support your decision. I may not watch the reactions. But I hope you enjoy the rest of My Hero Academia either way. Maybe for key episodes I’ll watch or I’ll at least watch your discussions. But, honestly I’m so excited for more of My Hero too. I can’t wait for the movie to come out.

Personally, I would go for English dub because you guys have already come this far with it and it’s a pretty solid dub of the anime. However, I understand if you choose sub to minimize the risk of spoilers since the show is in the final act of the story. I’m cool with either choice since I’m mainly watching for your reaction and discussion anyways.

Whether people think sub or dub is better doesn't really matter in this case, why would you build a relationship with characters over 6 seasons to switch from one to the other, also getting spoiled is pretty easy to avoid, if you can avoid manga spoilers which have been out there for a long time you can avoid anime spoilers it not as big of an issue as you might think. If someone arhues social media is their job and they're on it all the time, it may not be my job but i spend a lot of time on social media, in a lot of similar spaces being a nerd and all and have no trouble abouding spoilers

As a dub watcher I will always prefer the dub. I myself however do watch shows subbed if they won't be available in dub for an extended period of time to avoid spoilers.

One clarification: Japan wasn't going to be upset about the United States killing a citizen of theirs (ShigAFO), they were going to be upset because the US essentially launched missiles at them xD Don't forget, this fight is happening right off the coast of Japan and there's enough force Star has parted the water and is damaging the surface of the ocean. I'm sure Japan would forgive the US for launching missiles at it provided ShigAFO dies, but most countries would expect more than a courtesy notice if their ally decided to launch intercontinental missiles at them xD;; Imagine if a European country launched missiles at a target 50km from the Eastern coast of the US without first clearing it with the government.

Oh! That's what's happening! I was so confused for a sec because I knew the dub wasn't out yet. I think... I vote DUB but its your reaction so if you guys really want to go SUB, then go SUB. I understand the decision - it sucks to wait for the DUB. But, it'll be a shame to lose a DUB reaction though when there are so few channels that react to DUB. And I hate to see the SUB elitism win. (SUB just isn't accessible to everyone.) I'll always vote DUB, personally... its hard enough for me to follow SUB when I'm actually watching the thing but even harder to follow in a reaction where things are cut up, subs are too small to see, I'm trying to follow along with the show while also paying attention to the reactors, and etc. It's a far less enjoyable and immersive experience for me, personally. I only watch SUB when DUB is not an option and never going to be an option... like when main shows get dubbed but not the OVAs. Then I watch SUB because I'm a completionist. But I don't enjoy it anywhere near as much. Every few minutes I'm like... "wait, what happened? Oh wait, I missed that. Nope, I missed that entire conversation. Wait, I didn't understand any of that." I probably miss around 25% of dialogue because I can't catch the dialogue and what's happening on screen - or vice versa. Hard to enjoy and get immersed when you have to pause and rewind every few minutes. Or I'm just like, Oh well and continue without really understanding what happened or what was talked about. And thats not even going into the voice acting itself and the fact that English speakers and Japanese speakers are different in more than just that we have different words... we also use different tones, different inflections, different emotional emphases. So things just don't hit the same as they do with DUB...case in point, Solo Leveling and "ARISE." If you know, you know. If you decide to switch back to DUB, please put DUB in the title and or thumbnail so I know to watch! I'm heading out now, don't wanna be spoiled.

I would say wait for dub, now if you enjoy it I say go for it but since you watched up until season 7 I would stick with the voices you have been with since the start. Dub will prolly come out next week for ep 1.
