It's a Zulu and Xhosa word meaning Power in both languages. It is pronounced A-mAn-dlA. A is vowel that is pronounced like up with a silent p in IsiZulu. Yes, it important to properly pronounce her name. At school you were failed for not talking fluently or pronouncing properly the English language. You also get publicly ridiculed for not speaking this language fluently. Speaking English fluently is regarded a discipline as should all other languages. Now back to the serious issues we are dealing with in South Africa like unemployment, depression, Gender based violence, poverty, petrol hikes, poor infrastructure, Eskom and the loadshedding we have to endure, lack of salary increase, crime, corruption, other health care systems and on and on.
