American Couple Reacts: Queen Elizabeth 1 Year Tribute! Saluting the Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief! Please stay tuned after the reaction for our own words of tribute It's nearly impossible to believe that the World lost Queen Elizabeth ll one year ago. We like so many around the globe, have mourned and missed her dearly. On this one year passing of the World's most beloved Monarch we give tribute, celebration and a look back on her life of service and love of the military. She was Commander-in-Chief to so many and her love for all the servicemen and woman was a thing of beauty. Our admiration for the United Kingdom's people and military along with our love of the Queen, is exactly why we wanted to pay our respects, one last time. The Queen may be gone but her legacy lives on in each of us. God Save The King & God Bless America. Thank you SO much for watching! Not everyone realises, but the British military makes an oath to the monarch, NOT to the government. I think that's a really important safeguard in a democracy. That said, I just can't believe it's been a year since our beloved Queen passed away. May she rest in peace...her legacy will never be forgotten. 🙏👑👑👑

I thought it was something that most people knew not the other way round, after all there's the Royal Air Force, the Royal Navy and although it's not the Royal Army there are bands of the army that have the H.M. that preface them.

In an ever changing world Queen Elizabeth brought stability. Her sense of service and duty were there right until the end. As Paddington so poignantly said to The Queen at her Platinum Jubilee ' Thank you Ma'am; for everything' and thank you Natashia and Debbie for this fitting tribute.

Yes, an amazing tribute👏. I'd just add that HM's grandfather was also a serving naval officer before he became Prince of Wales upon the death of Edward VII. The Navy really was ingrained in her dna.🙂 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

A full year, it's wild. She was such a constant in life in Australia, even as someone in my early 30s she was so loved and respected just as much as the older generation. Both my parents were RAAF and always said the nickname for her was "The Boss". I heard a funny story about a RAAF Warrent Officer chewing out a cadet officer for putting his hands in his pockets with something along the line of - "THE QUEEN OWNS THOSE TROUSERS SO GET YOUR FILTHY GRUBBY HANDS OUT OF THE LADYS' POCKETS!". I'm sitting here in my home study looking at the spare change bowl, her face is on every coin.

Hello Natasha and Debbie, thank you 🙏 thank you so very much; as a Brit and friend, for this special video about an amazing lady, Queen Elizabeth II. Your profound respect, response, love, kindness, compassion, and unwavering support and caring is so very much appreciated, and loved by me and so…. many that follow you. I for one can’t speak of how shocked I am that it’s a year already!!! Speaking about this very sad death it feels like it was just yesterday!!! It’ll be an emotional, painful and upsetting video, but well worth seeing. God bless the military, God bless Queen Elizabeth II, God save the King!! Thank you both so very much!!! Love you loads xxxx

I listened to a man cry while i listened to my radio this morning as he remembered his meeting with the queen . Her words spoken during the covid event when she said "we will meet again" were from the song sung by the wonderful voice of Vera Lynn We'll Meet Again with whom i feel the Queen would have felt a connection as someone who lifted the spirits during those dark years.

Please please please react to the video - " The story of Britain's Bravest Soldier's - Victoria Cross For Valor". It is on the channel "Timeline - World History Documentaries". It is absolutely the best video you will see of the bravest soldiers in the UK and commonwealth. It tells the story of the quite a few of these soldiers and how they won the medal, their stories are mind boggling and so heroic they will leave you speechless. Pllus it tells the story of the medal itself and how it was created. Have asked previously last year but I know get lots of requests. Please can you do this one though, it is the best video I have ever seen about it. Other channels have done videos about the medal but Timeline's channel is the best and has the most details in it. Thank you for one of the best tributes to our beloved Queen. 😍

A fact that is often overlooked is the circumstances in which she became heir to the throne. If Edward VIII had not abdicated then Princess Elizabeth would have probably lived in relative obscurity, presenting the FA Cup, that sort of thing. The Abdication Crisis changed all that and at just ten years old the course of her life changed. In a classic example of actions speaking louder than words she instructed the band playing at the changing of the guard the day after 9/11 to play the Star Spangled Banner.

I'm an ex serviceman for the UK amd also served alongside US forces. We share so much and brothers in arms. I cannot explain why but I would have put my Queen behind me and put myself in harms way. Its an irrational thought but to give your life for another is strange. But above all, we loved our commander in chief. Thank you for this video and also for your continued love for our tiny (but great) nation lol. By the way, if and or when you decide to travel to the UK, you have our place to stay. We can show you our country and its diversity. Again, thank you. ❤

It was very traditional for many British families to gather around the television or radio at 3:00pm on Christmas Day to watch or listen to Her Majesty The Queen address the nation with her Christmas speech. Christmas Day last year just didn't seem the same without the Queen. Thank you both Natasha & Debbie for your heartfelt tribute here. Thank You.

I think someone put together a video with clips from all the Christmas messages which her late Majesty made.

I missed half of it. Caught part on my phone. I will watch it all on my I pad. It’s hard to believe it’s a year since our Queen passed away. I went to London the day after her passing . It was a pre booked trip back in April. I celebrated my birthday in London. I went to St. Paul’s cathedral on the Sunday for a service of celebration. Thanks for the video.

They had a tv series about Simon following his journey from being a severely burned young man to civilian life. He is remarkable, the series is tough to watch. I watch it with tears.

Such a lovely woman. Broke my heart to see her at Prince Phillips funeral sat alone. I don’t know how I’d have got through my husband’s funeral without my boys sat beside me. She has left big shoes to fill and will be missed for a very long time. Rest in Peace ma’am❤

What a woman, she has my up most respect, humble too! I thanked her for her service and she told me not to be silly. Just thought Id share as it made my day ❤.

The first time The Royal family appeared on the balcony at Buckingham Palace was hard as it felt like there was someone missing (and PP too) who has always been in the centre spot yet sought no particular 'limelight' as such.

@@susanashcroft2674 Yes. As is often the case with such long marriages, she didn't last long without her rock beside her. Seeing her sitting in the church alone broke my heart.

Natasha, when you paused the clip to say the Queen wasn't faking her reaction, I was thinking the exact same thing about you. You struggled to speak then, and in you intro. Thank you ladies. From the daughter of an RAF serviceman now living in Lincolnshire

That speech she made during the Covid pandemic lockdown was so typically on point. The country, like the world, felt like we were in uncharted territory: our streets were empty and the economy had ground to a halt. We were looking for reassurance, and that’s exactly what she gave us. Using the phrase “we’ll meet again”, echoing the famous wartime song, was inspired, and very deliberate, because it both assured us that we would get through it, and reminded us that she had been through worse, with the rest of her generation, and survived. It was brilliantly both sympathetic to our fears and challenging us to be courageous. I’ll never forget it.
