Today, I am doing a review on American Crafts Color Pour premixed acrylic pour paint kit.
Honestly, I really didn't have high expectations for these paints. But, I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised at my results. The paints are nice and vibrant and the all the materials included in the kit are good quality.
My results were great. I got nice cells using the cell magic.
The painting dried beautifully. It was smooth and the colors were still vibrant.
I would totally recommend this kit. I will definitely use it again.

My paints are mixed with my pouring medium, which is 60% Liquitex pouring medium, 30% Floetrol, 5% water and 5% Golden GAC800.
No silicone was added.

My cloud effect mix is 50% Artist Loft Flow Acrylic White and 50% Behr Satin Enamel Ultra Pure White mixed with 50% pouring medium.

Thank you. I was skeptical as well. It turned put much better than I thought. It won't replace my normal paints and pouring medium, but it kind of fun to just put the paint in the cup and pour.

Was not aware such kits existed until now (DUH ~ seems like there's a kit for everything!) & would never have thought such lovely results possible from one, had I thought about it in the 1st place! Thank you for showing & sharing!! If I may ask ~ where did you find this? Pretty sure many others would like to know, as well 😄. EDIT: OK, so I Googled & found ~ shame on me for being lazy, LOL! They have them at Hobby Lobby for $19.99 for the kit& I believe Joann fabrics has it also but they charge about $25 for the kit. Hobby Lobby also has smaller sets of 4 or 5 bottles premixed in specific color combos with everything already in it AND also they sell 8 oz bottles individually for $5.99 and come in about 19 different colors as well as the individual cell magic and their own pouring medium. I love them. It saves so much time not having to mix the paints & worry about getting the same consistency in each plus Hobby Lobby has a 40% off coupon that you can use every day so even if you only buy a few bottles at a time it's a really good deal compared to all the money we spend on paints, pouring mediums, silicone and all the other extras we throw in our paints these days. Lol. Hopefully they will start coming out with even more colors !!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Thank you! I bought the kit from Joann's. It was $30. But, it was on sale and I had a coupon so I only paid $18. They have a variety of colors to choose from, either in small kits or separately.

I LOVE those pre mixed kits . I have bout the smaller set that came with blues & purples just to try them. Not sure where you purchased that kit but Hobby lobby has it for $19.99 and they sell 8 oz individual bottles of the paints in 19 different colors & the cell magic & even have their own pouring medium too. Lol. I love them especially for how much time you save not having to sit & mix you paints. I want to get the 8 oz bottles in each color and I'd also like to try the Cell magic & their pouring medium with other paints. It's like they have their own little special "recioe" & its definitely not listed on the bottles anywhere. Lol. But I love them. Hopefully they start coming out with more colors that would be great. !!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I like the Kit. I don't think it will replace my normal paints and pouring medium. Although it was nice to just put the paint in the cups and pour!

@@TracieReed yeah I really like the convenience of them it saves me a lot of time & guess work and I only do this for fun anyway but definitely wouldn't give up all the beautiful colors I have already purchased. Waiting on an order for pick up at Michaels today as a matter of fact. Lol. But apparently they dont have the candy funnel anymore or at least not at my Michael's cuz I couldn't find it on the website anywhere. Every time I walk into a store any store I find myself looking more for gadgets to use than what I actually went to the store for. Hahaha 😉😉😉😉

I'd like to see you do this again, but lay down a decent layer of white base paint which would allow the paint to move better and stop the show of canvas underneath.

Thank you for posting this! I've been wondering how those premixed kits work. What was the consistency of those premixed paints? It seemed very thin, but it performed nicely!

What would a beginner do if they were just trying this out and they did not have a torch. Do they give alternate instructions?

You could use a heat gun if you have one.

@@TracieReed You mean the ones used with embossing powder? Wouldn't it move the paint? And thanks for demoing these paints! I was one of your sunnies who requested it. I'm trying the gold, black, white and other color forgot what it is, later today.

I don't have a torch yet and have used a candle/bbq lighter. It works.😊

Would a blow dryer work if u don’t have a torch

A blow dryer is a bit stronger. It will move your paint around. A torch or heat gun will work better.

vicki jen I know that it is premixed. But, the silicone was not already added. That is why I added it. Most premixed paints don't have silicone in them. Premixed means they have the pouring medium already added.

vicki jen they are called premixed because they are mixed with pouring medium. Not everyone likes to use silicone. That is why it's not added. It's optional.
