I wish you had done a pour with those paints prior to adding any silicone to them, so we could have seen for ourselves if it had any in it. You still had some paint left over you could have used after adding some silicone, so you could have done two pours, and we would have known the difference. But, thank you for using your own money to purchase it and share the information with us! Oh, and would have loved to see the dried result!

I've tried it as my first pour. It doesn't have silicone. You're right, it's a good way to get started or for kids maybe. But you always want to mix your own

I have bought a few of these sets, as well as a Pébéo premixed set, that came with silicone. For me the reasons for going this route right now are: I just want to try it out so I'm not sure if I want to get all the bits and Bob's needed for mixing your own and figuring out the trial and error of all that. I also have EXTREMELY limited space. The tiny room I paint in has my deep freezer, pantry shelves, book cases, and a craft shelf. It's also where I work full time. I have about a 3ft x 2ft bit of space to do this in. With premixed paints, all I have to calculate is how much painting need for each project, and with all the calculators out there for that, it's pretty easy. If I find myself doing this a lot, then I would have to go with mixing my own, which is WAY cheaper. And then I'd have to figure out somewhere to put the stuff. 😁

Has anybody ever added WD40 as a substitute for silicone drops?

Can you pour this on a dresser. I don't think it's real wood. Can you use a blow-dryer or something to spread it out on a large space? Would you need to put a polyurethane over it? Any help is greatly appreciated! Going for a "galaxy" look for my daughters room!

I tried this today and didn't add anything to the paint. I think that is came out just fine without adding silicone.

That paint seems a bit thicker than the other premixed paints.

I got these from JoAnn’s. I didn’t like these paint. Way too thick! I have tried other paints.

I think if you were going to add silicone you should have put a little in a small cup then add it rather than to the entire bottle. Not an impressive result. The blending of the colors aren’t good either.
