Henrik is a Legend.. and such a fantastic + humble guy !!! :D , and he also played for the Swedish National team winning the Bronze medal in the 1994 WorldCup !!

Seeing the UEFA Cup final goals still hurts a little bit, After all this time I still vividly remember watching that final in what was a fantastic game but to see Larsson score those 2 brilliant headers only for Porto to win in extra time was just cruel to watch.

It's the way we lost that still hurts. That Porto side were good enough to beat us fairly but resorted to constant cheating. Mind the keeper Baia dropping to the deck near the end with nobody near him.

My man! You should look at his career and what people in football thought of him. He won Barcelona the champs league. When he left Celtic he went to Barca came back to play against Celtic and put us to the sword. Sir Alex Ferguson signed him for Man Unt also. He’s played with some fantastic players and was held up in the highest of esteem by his peers and football community wide. Played up top with Zlatan with Sweden too. The man was a first class act!

Thanks for that comment, sir. To be held in high esteem by your peers in professional football rarely happens before retirement, but Henrik was a class act where ever he came and he got acknowledged for it amongst his fellow players. Hail to the Ghod that we can celebrate while his still alive.

In my lifetime which is only 27 years. Henrik is the best player to have played in Scotland. There's alot of headed goals in this video, 5 foot 9 regularly leaped above 6ft+ defenders and scored headers.

Don’t watch the UEFA cup final - it’s heartbreaking. I was in Seville for it - not in the stadium but in the big square. We lost that final and then came home and lost the league that very weekend too. Double gut punch! You’re right this was Mourinhos Porto. They went on to win the Champions League too the very next season.

in modern day times...i.e. from the 80s till now...Henrik Larsson is by far the best player to have played in Scotland....Paul Gascoigne i would say the 2nd best... "old Co" refers to old rangers who were liquidated in 2012....a new rangers has since formed that plays today

If your interested in goal records. Celtic had a player named Jimmy Mcgrory he scored 522 goals in 501 games and is considered one of the greatest goal scorers of all time

Old co is the old company that was rangers. Rangers were liquidated in 2012 after tax evasion and owing almost 50M to revenue & customs. Businessman charles green bought their assets and started a new club & company which was titled sevco and he renamed it the rangers 2012. They like to claim they are still the same club with the same titles despite being liquidated. Thats why celtic fans sing zombienation as rangers died and came back from the dead a zombie form of their former self

His chip over Klaus is definitely most celtic fans favourite goal because we are humiliating Rangers. His Dreadlocks were the real deal my friend. Larsson was the best player in Scotland since Paul McStay (The Maestro) and as paul was the greatest player in Scotland since wee Jimmy Johnston (Wee Jinky) Those were the 3 best players to ever play in Scotland hands down. 3 celtic legends.

Gennaro Guttuso left Rangers went on to win 2 champions leagues AC Milan and the FIFA World Cup with Italy, Van Bronkhorst champions league winners Captain Holland World Cup runners up Stephane Guivarch, Lionel Charbonnier World Cup winners before joining Ranger Claudio Cannigia runners up. Larson had ability and loyalty deserved his champions league medal. His time at Man U he made that unit of players an amazing team

That final against Porto is still sickening. I haven't watched it since I can't. It wasn't that we lost it was the way Porto played time wasting and play acting they were at that time one if the best club sides in the world there was no need for it. You should have a look at Henriks horrific injury how he came back from it and to be an even better player after I will never know.

You did have some team at that time as did we. Porto winning the champions league the year after actually helped a little in that we lost to team that went on to be best club in europe. Football a game that can make you euphoric but also break your heart.

Old Co is Old Rangers. They got liquidated for cheating the taxman. Ended up dying and made a new club that plays in the same stadium with the same fans, so a tribute act.

It's a pity the economics of the sport have tilted to the point that clubs like Celtic, with huge attendances and a worldwide supporter base, can no longer compete with clubs owned by multinational conglomerates, Arab oil sheikhs, and American robber barons. I would have added Russian oligarchs to that list, but recent events have made them personae non gratae. Celtic are a wonderfully entertaining club to watch (they have been my choice of support for decades). But they haven't got a single player whose transfer number exceeds £9,000,000. English Championship squads have bigger budgets. Celtic's best hope for international relevance is to combine the English and Scottish leagues. I can't fathom a scenario in which that might happen, no matter how logical it might seem. The English are very content to exclude their northern neighbors and keep them begging for scraps.

I couldn't see anyone answer your question in the replies, "Old Co" that's Glasgow Rangers, who engaged in a massive tax evasion scheme to buy players it couldn't otherwise afford and was closed by her majesties revenue and custom office (The tax man) They ceased to exist "New co" is a new club that was formed in 2012 by a guy called Charles GREEN who was engaged in dodgy business with Craig WHYTE, they purchased the assets of the old club for 5 million pounds and had to get a conditional license to play its first game against Brechin City. New Co is called The Rangers international football club, formerly Sevco Scotland. Some people like to pretend that none of that happened. It totally did though. So when folk say "old co" they mean Glasgow Rangers that died, not Sevco Scotland that plays at Ibrox these days, totally separate entities.
