Man I don't know what the hell you're smoking but you coming back to United States is asking for it. You'll never see the light of day again they will lock you up forever if not worse. It looks like you got a tiny bit of income in Cuba and it is a beautiful country after all so if I were you I would honestly just stay the hell put and forget about trying to come back. I understand you miss family and stuff but you probably won't even get a chance to see them if the feds get their hands on you. Just saying

Why would u want to come back and spend the rest of your life in jail. In Cuba at least u have freedom, meaning u are not locked in a jail cell. There are thousands of black men in jail, who would gladly wish to switch places with u. sitting under a tree and going for walks, damn it, it's still freedom, even though u ain't got no dough

There is a guy that was involved in a gas station robbery back in the 60s/70s where the attendant was murdered. This guy was convicted, sent to prison, escaped, hijacked an airliner to Algeria, got paid a ransom, made it to France and then began traveling. Wound up in Guinee-Biseau, married a portuguese woman that worked for the Embassy, moved to Portugal and retired. He was found by the US about 3 years ago living in a small town on the coast near Lisbon. The US went to court demanding his extradition and Portugal told the US to go pack sand.

No, Alex, we're not as powerful as ever. Unfortunately if you keep repeating the same thing over and over it doesn't suddenly become true. There was a time that the US was very powerful. Although many times it was because of some pretty underhanded backroom activities. Those days differed from today because the true story didn't come out for 30-40 years as papers became unclassified. Today things get out much quicker and too many people talk about too much for the US to continue as sneaky as before.

@@snakechrmr6398 are you referring to the period of time that we were at the mercy of our fears of nuclear war with the Soviet union? Boomers have some strange nonsense-based nostalgia for that period which I do not understand. We were not as powerful as today. Although the gap is closing due to military buildup, our capabilities have far exceed those of our closest adversaries for the past 20-30 years.

@@Neophobic Nonsense based nostalgia? What an idiot? I bet you still think Kennedy backed down Russia to end the Cuban Missile Crisis. The most recent US foolishness I can think of was the Obama guided coup in Ukraine. Obama was getting beat up and called ineffective on the international stage and with mid term elections coming up he had to do something so he created a coup in Ukraine. Hoping to get a NATO base on Russia's border. Russia got involved and Obama was stopped short. I was in eastern Europe at the time watching what was happening to my neighbor. If you'll remember it was then he began bombing Syria in earnest. Wasn't enough with the refugee crisis and all so the midterms were still a disaster. No, America's had its time in the sun and now it needs to slip into a supporting role on the international stage and concentrate on internal problems.

If anyone reads this and has the knowledge to answer this question I would be very grateful - I'm curious, on this occasion the fugitive hijacked a plane and flew to Cuba, but how does a fugitive know that once they arrive in Cuba that they will be able to stay and not be extradited? After all, he would have entered the country illegally, without a visa/permission etc, they could've sent him straight back, and if he. got there and just decided to hide, he wouldn't have legal rights to live there etc, and wouldn't be able to claim any government money or get a legal job to support himself? I find it fascinating that so many fugitives flee to Cuba, especially as it's so close to the state of Florida, without any real planning once they get there of how they will live.

Living in Cuba, although difficult, is better than being in an American prison. I think Cuba has a national policy of harboring anyone from the US who claim that they would be unjustly treated by the judicial system ie Black people. Cuba considers itself a revolutionary state and would harbor those who consider themselves revolutionaries. The embargo that the US has placed on Cuba for the past six decades doesn't make for good relations between the two countries either.

What I find most interesting is that even in a poor country like Cuba this guy is on a government pension, the concept of stand on your own back legs has never sunk in, people complain about white people all the time but all they can think of is how they can can move to a country with hard working white people in it and then sit on their ass and take government hand outs. You would think that coming from a First World country he would have started a business and had the advantage of education and experience in a democratic market system, but no he has been sitting on his ass ever since he landed there a special gift for the Cubans. South Africa has 50 million blacks that think the same way, can we send you some more of them?

I am Cuban born and raised there and I can guarantee you that this guy will starve to death if he lives off of his pension. He’s definitely getting money from the government. All these rats that hide in Cuba get alot of help from FIDEL. For Fidel these are their trophies

@@algambino5508 So you calling him a rat? Don't Cubans travel to America and also get assistance from the US government? Most Cubans leave Cuba specifically those who are mentally confused thinking they are of the minority race (Caucasian), because they have to give the government part o what they own. So most of them flee Cuba. Then others leave for what they feel is a better life due to crime and poverty. So Sir ave several seats. Until you have walked in that brothers shoe I suggest you sit down. 🐀
