It's a ship! It's a plane! It's something US naval designers came up with on the back of a napkin, on a Friday night, after way too much gin. That the IJN ended up implementing, so everybody's consternation.
It's 2/3rds of a North Carolina, with planes.

Well to be precise the Ise & Hyuga were BB/seaplane tenders. They operated float planes which would catapult launch.

To be even more precise, they would have been in the subgroup of seaplane carriers, like Ark Royal, since they would have been able to rearm & maintain the seaplanes they carried

I like the fact the hybrids' special camos have the names of these ships at the bow. 8:08 if you look with caution, you see there's a second elevator on the rear end of the flight deck, which is probably the same size as Bogue's deck.

I've to say this BB has shown potential to balance to aircraft mechanism, i mean the preparation time and penality times when your squadron entirely wipe out is a good reason to punish enemy CV when they try to simply tap n dropping bomb, especially Torpedo bomber as close as they want I think big caliber aa should have a larger range while small caliber need to get higher damage for all ship in the game I hope wg listen to this, the pc are also suffering pain from CV back on the day, it took 6 years before they finally rebalance everything

Hello The flight deck is indeed very very very very short. If the plane misses its catapult, it crashes forward and potentially destroys the turrets and if it misses its landing the deck is too short for a go-around. The bridge is too short to be able to store a plane that has just landed and receive another. We can see that this is a completely fictitious line, thanks Wargaming.😂 But I love American BB (I have all to T7 at T10 except the Black Montana), so...of course I still have the experience on the Colorado to unlock this one . But I'm not sure to have a lot of good experience with so many planes on the game (good point for this 1, only 1 squadrons with big reload) . Ship without AA start to be unplayable. Game mode without CV, or hybrid ship, will be great Wargaming. Nice week Terry.

I met my first Nebraska today in the Hawke and it was glorious sweeping around and catching her from the aft, Nebraska has no aft protection and took him to near half life from my first salvo and then our Tirpitz came from the other flank and he was on the bottom quickly. I think these hybrids are getting stupider with each hybrid introduced but the Nebraska at least is gonna be fun for anyone that comes in from the aft.

I have heard of this line in PC, that it is best to treat them as a BB with 3 flavors of scout plane rather then a CV with guns.

Yes, agreed. The guns are definitely the most dangerous part, combined with the ability to spot its own targets

I haven't tested that, I'll put it on the list. Theoretically yes, but how much difference it makes in practice, needs to be seen

Not CV fan, neither a BB fan too. It doesn't look line a really game changing line as when italina BB were released. At least for that one. 15 dive bomber is also quite easy to take down and make that thing out of plane.

It might get a little interesting early on, when everyone is excited to play them, and it opens up a few team ideas, like a CV/double hybrid division that goes for the enemy CV straight. CVs have to be a little more careful in higher tiers, first we had AA buffs across the board, and those things have a) the capacity to spot an enemy CV and b) the gun range to make its life short and interesting 😂

I'm coming from a BB perspective, I treat the planes as glorified scouts to find my long range guns stuff to shoot at. But I agree, it's a high skill floor line, with the poor armour & multitasking, which means we're probably not going to be seeing a huge amount of them in the long run.
