It was obvious she was a Carrie fan and she needed to separate herself from that identity. The last few shows she started dressing like Carrie with the super short dresses and high heels. Problem is, she hadn’t been to the gym enough for those outfits and it became even more obvious that she was trying to be Carrie and there will not be another Carrie. I hope she surrounds herself with good people and doesn’t sell her soul to the devil just to have a successful career.

There is a reason her single isn't doing as well as Cade's - in spite of the fact that he finished below her and didn't come in with even close to as many social media followers (she's been promoting herself much more aggressively for years and comes from a big city) - and she wasn't chosen for the Encore performance on Kelly & Ryan. She's good, better vocal control, wider vocal range, but she's unoriginal.

When someone says your dream is over suddenly, then how you process that is very hard. Also it is really not the same when you are looking at the situation from the outside. I have been in similar situations, it's not as simple as you might think she was grateful but it's still hard news , and faking it isn't always necessary. I believe not hiding how you feel and still being respectful to people who voted is much better response. Jmo

It's not her confidence, or her comfort with her skills - that's all great - but from the very first audition she was surprised the judges weren't blown away by her and she behaved as if she was very hurt and confused by their constructive feedback - they told her not to try to be another Carrie Underwood and not to always sing Carrie Underwood songs and the next time out what does she sing - Carrie Underwood. Even Carrie Underwood seemed a bit put off by it. "I feel like I'm looking at myself." and it didn't entirely seem like a compliment. Then she encouraged her to find out who "YOU want to be" - what she had been hearing from the judges all season but she continued to basically imitate.

Anyone can run around on stage, play air guitar, and flip their nasty mop of hair, but it takes REAL talent to actually sing like no one else, put your own spin on songs, and play an instrument. Most of the best musicians ever do not run around the stage because they don’t have to lol, gabby has no idea who she is. all she does is replicate the styles of other artists, without adding her own flare personality - making each performance come off as very insincere and artificial. you say maddie’s boring, but gabby is super annoying & cringey to watch. she tries too hard rather than letting it flow from the soul. she’s a copy cat. her final performances were horrible btw, and she was already signed to luke’s management team. she did not deserve to win.
