You're a great traveler. Got to watch for those toll roads ect. I came up against that issue several times. All just part of the fun. The people all over Viet Nam are so wonderful.

In Vietnam, toll roads are only for cars, for motorbikes, it's completely free. You only lose money when you violate traffic or ride a motorbike on the highway.

look like you got lost into the highway, only cars can enter the road but don't worry, sometimes even we mistakenly enter there

You should change the driving mode when using GG maps. The default is for car.

If possible, you should go to the Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) with poetic Da Lat, Buon Ma Thuot is the hometown of coffee.

Hey, Adam! I have a trip to Saigon coming up, and I have a couple of questions: 1. Do I need an international motorcycle license to rent / drive a motorcycle / scooter? I have a Mexican motorcycle license, is that good enough? 2. I'm planning to go to Cu Chi Tunnels, and would prefer to drive a motorcycle there than take a bus. Do you know if small motorcycles / scooters are allowed on the road I would take to get there? For example, in Mexico, they have a minimum CC size to drive on certain highways (i.e. high speed highways)

You dont need any license, normally you just give them your passport information and a little deposit. To drive from Saigon to Cu Chi tunnels is actually not that hard, the ride is about an hour long, the roads are big, no regulations whatsoever.
