In an interview with Patrol Gaming, Austin said he'd really wanted to show off "opera Rob"; however, Rob said he wouldn't unless Austin sang it with him. He went on to say that he'd been okay but that Rob was fantastic. One of the (many) things I love about Home Free is how they support each other. Rob had extensive opera training but hadn't sung it in 15 years; Austin had some training in it, however his degree is in Musical Theater.

Rob (dark hair) studied opera in college, Austin studied musical theatre. So Rob's delivery is operatic and Austin's is musical theatre delivery. Both have lovely voices. Normally Rob is tenor.

They are so amazing ❤ Rob studied Opera in college hasn’t sang it in 15 years Austin studied in college Musical Theatre. For something completely different from Home Free it’s not completely A Capella Chance wrote and took lead on their newer released lyric video Skull And Bones. Ubisoft approached them with an opportunity to write a shanty for Skull And Bones video game they are releasing soon. They also sang a shorter version live at Ubisoft live premiere.It’s beyond epic

The members of Home Free all have an amazing range of talents and skills. Beautiful voices are just one of them. Thanks for following Anthony's suggestion to give a listen to this one -- opera ain't easy! The tenors have had some love, now the basses could impress you with Home Free's new release "Skull and Bones." That's my suggestion. And I believe it was Yoda who said "Do or Do Not..."

Glad you're getting these recommendations from Anthony. Aside: Just saying that this is the most famous opera song maybe ever lol. Btw Rob is trained in opera, Austin in musical theater. For the future: Try Home Free's Butts Medley. The arrangement alone is brilliant, not to mention the vocals and the comedy. Thanks for your reaction to this!

This was all Austin's idea and he had to convince Rob to do it. Rob was classically trained in college, but hadn't sung Opera in over 15 years. Austin was a musical theater major but also trained classically. They were both very nervous about this coming out in the chat. It's about None Will Sleep. Enjoyed watching your reactions to this song.

Yes this is wow, wow and again wow. It is insane and extremely good. Fantastic. Both are doing great, but Rob, I'm perplexed. His voice is just magical and so rich Chills just ran through my body. It flows into my heart. He will be able to stand with the greatest of opera singers. It's not often that I listen to songs by opera singers 5 times and more in a row. But here it is. Of course I hope that both will always continue to do Home Free, but I wouldn't think it wrong that such "trips" are made more often. Opera, country, ballads, soul etc. I think anything is possible..

Totally right. Jew's harp is the original name from past centuries, but now I hear jaw harp, mouth harp, etc. Anyway, the HF tenors did a great job. The combination of extra-bright tone from Austin and dark tone from Rob isn't the best match, but it still legitimately brings tears on for SOME of us who can appreciate it. It's a personal thing.

I have never been a big fan of opera except maybe some Andrea Bocelli & a few others. But I have always appreciated the talent it takes to sing opera. I was pretty impressed with Rob & Austin's version of Nessun Dorma. I have heard this famous song done by Pavarotti. I think I was more surprised by Rob's range & powerful delivery than even Austin's. Pretty good for a couple of country boys! Nice to see them dressed up in suits & looking classy.

I thought I might be rickrolled and then this happened. Rob (glasses) had studied opera but that was years ago. Austin studied musical theater. The human voice is so incredible. Call the “j” harp a “mouth harp” and you’re ok.

Nessun Dorma is an aria from Puccini's opera Turandot (it's in Italian; there's an English translation on the 'net).
@janhankins911
@janhankins911 Жыл бұрын
This is an aria from the Puccini opera "Turandot". Turandot is a Chinese princess (so, yes, you heard the word "princess") and a young man falls in love with her and wants to marry her. In order to do so, must solve a series of riddles. If he fails, he will be executed. He succeeds and solves all the riddles. Turandot still refuses to marry him. He tells her if she can tell him his name before dawn, he will accept the execution she wants. She does guess his name, but instead of having him executed, they are acclaimed as lovers. That is "Turandot" in a small nutshell. It is interesting to note that Puccini died before this opera was finished, so the music was finished by Franco Alfano after Puccini died. I do believe this aria was composed by Puccini himself.

They simply had way too much fun producing this song and video presentation. Their entertainment value is top dollar with eveything they do. Their customer base receives the best from them everytime. Very creative juices and exceptional produced music that keeps our hearts thumping along with smiles and feel good feelings.... ❣ subscribed The capability of excellence by each of the individuals in this group is off the charts awesome that allows them the flexibility to do so many types of vocalizations and to do it exceptionally well. I have not found a genre they are afraid to tackle whether individually or as a group they are amazing. Then top that off with their arrangements that augment the presentation to be "Home Free" owned.

Such a treat! But seriously, Rob sounds like a different artist than we hear when he sings with Home Free! I don't care for opera, but these two "tried" and did what I didn't expect--they made me want to watch it over and over again. Who knew? 🤭

Oh yes, I definitely second that recommendation for HF'S Skull And Bones! I've seen reactors so a double reaction; first to the lyric version and then to the shorter, live version. The lyric version has scenes for the soon-to-be released Ubisoft game Skull And Bones with the live version was done at the Summer Game Fest. It'll blow you outta the water! (Pun intended)

Loved this video...you really need to check out their beatboxing on 9 to 5 Breakdown... fabulous! Also Tim put out a do-wop album where he sings all the harmonies...Stay/Will You Still Love Me is a really good one. These guys in Home Free all (I think Adam Rupp too) have music degrees. Adam also learned to play drums so he could be more authentic for his solos. All the guys play instruments and they have several other channels... Austin and Tim have Sweet 'N Low Music Co. With Chris Chatham and others and there's a channel for them...these guys are prolific...they released at least two videos a month during covid. Folsom Prison Blues and Gambler, for instance. Also check out their fun Butts Medley.

According to Wikipedia...The Jew harp is also called the Jaw Harp ( which is more common today) or juice harp, or mouth harp. The name the Jew's harp most likely originated in Siberia, specifically in or around the Altai Mountains, and has no relation to the Jewish people.
