On a proper set, where the DJ is spinning riddim after riddim... Kano and Ghetts would wash Kendrick and Cole. Yeah I said it!! Kendrick and Cole wouldn't be able to keep up. Kano and Ghetts can destroy any beat a DJ could throw at them - Hip Hop, Bashment, Garage - and catch the drop with effortless style. After a couple of back to back riddims Kendrick and Cole would need a break... Haha... you think they could hop from beat to beat at Grime pace - rapping while simaltaneously thinking of appropriate bars for the incoming beat, and timing it right so you catch the drop clean... Haha. GRIME MCs are the most skilled rappers in the world.

It’s got lots of the HAS tracks on it, features with Ghetts and Double, and it just perfection from start to finish. If I find it available online I’ll link you up.

@@ProductOfAnEmpire I agree, if you put any US artist in a grime environment then of course Kano and Ghetts will be in a different league. My question was how do they sit in all forms of rap. The big US artists, Nas, Jigga, Pac, Big, Kendrick, Cole etc, the reason they got to where they got to because they could do the straight up crud but also more importantly they had something to say. That's where a lot of artists fall away because consistent substance is the hardest part, even when that's not what gets airplay, to still put that out. That's where i personally think Kano and Ghetts can also heavily compete. Hoodies All Summer for instance is a masterpiece. If an American put that out in the US (not saying culturally it would be the same) it would be so highly regarded. Then there's longevity, these 2 have been doing this nearly 20yrs at the top level and pioneering a whole new scene constantly taking it to the next level. I asked the question because if you are from the UK and appreciate artistry, these 2 have to be at the top of your list. But the work Jurn is putting in to understand our scene, I'd like to know his perspective on this We also might be having this conversation including Dave soon. Needs some more time but the level he is hitting now at his age is maaaaad
