Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through KZfaq videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. You're both wrong. It depicts the teenage years of English teenagers - British is an umbrella term and this series is not set in Scotland or Wales but England.

The actor who plays Simon is turning 40 this year. Season one was 2008 season two was 2009 season three was 2010. The first movie was 2011 and the second movie was 2014

Will was right though I never understood this. He didn't try to have sex with her, he wasn't leading her on it was just normal first stage initiations, they weren't going out Kerry just decided that herself on facebook, Will never said it was because of her height/weight and though her dad dying is sad it wasn't Wills fault and he didn't even know.

Canary Wharf is an area in London on the Isle of dogs. It has tall buildings, some of the tallest in London, or at least on par with the central

The tallest one in the area, One Canada Square was the tallest building in the whole UK 1990 - 2012 I think, so probably a suitable reference for when this was made too. I think until they really developed the area that particular building was refered to as 'Canary Wharf' itself as it was the only significant building around for agws

@PD-jk5hd oh definitely for sure, i just didn't want to make the claim that it had the tallest buildings in London since the shard exists and bank area exists. Well London is so spread out its not like another city where all the tall buildings are clumped into one area.

@whatwouldroddypiperdo2092 the gherkin is quite funny. It's the building that gets fatter as it goes up that gets me, that's my nope point. My balcony over sees canary wharf, Stratford and central so see the shard from it all the time so its an unescapable reality for me. I love the story of how oxo managed to get the branding on the building.

@@gilesm5716 Yeah I have always lived on south side of the river since the 70s so I have a special place for how the skyline looked pre 00s I can't remember the story if the Oxo tower I probably learned about it 30 years ago and forgot you dig the story so go ahead and tell it if you want

Munter is slang for an ugly person, and lanky means tall, or more specifically tall and gangly. Pikey is a derogatory term for a gypsy, but also might be used for someone who is poor or of a lower social class. I guess the American equivalent would be "trailer trash".

Pikey - what we use to refer to as travelers, gypsy type people. People who usually live in caravans, trailer parks or have Irish traveler, Romani or Romanichal roots, often used in a derogatory manner

Ages as of 2023; Will (Simon Bird) - 38 Simon (Joe Thomas) - 39 Jay (James Buckley) - 35 Neil (Blake Harrison) - 37 Tara (Hannah Tointon) - 35 Joe & Hannah got together after working together on this show in 2010. They moved in together in 2012, got engaged in 2017, and had their first child in 2022.

Pike is an old term for a road .... As in Turn pike or pike house ( which collected tolls ) Pikey is a traveller of the road ( now considered an insult to Gipsies )

Yeah I'm with Will in this episode. Kerry's dad dying is sad but not relevant in the slightest. Doesn't make it Will's problem when he was essentially strongarmed into a forced relationship against his will. Also she's a terrible person for lying about him like that after he told her they weren't going out.

i get what Connor means by the feeling of connection with the show and the characters even though he's American as i was introduced to the show by a friend who insisted i must watch it and i wasn't keen tbh as i was in my 30'sat the time and thought a comedy about teenage boys at school? why would i want to watch that. but i eventually watched it and although my school days were a while ago, different times and so on i still feel the connection because myself and my friends were much the same in the way they communicate, what they think is important and so on. i guess teenage boys are very similar no matter what country you are from or whatever year it is, there are levels of connection that ring true and of course the show is really well made on every level.

Hahahahaha, watching you trying to get *unt rider hahaha, oh my god I forgot all of this show. I'm so glad I got to rewatch it with you, I just don't watch telly or even streaming shows anymore. I've rediscovered (& through a fresh pair of eyes as well), a few old shows through yourself & a couple other youtubers. I saw these when I was in college, I was mid 18 when this first appeared, the group dynamic was just genius, it's basically never boring, for 3 fkn seasons, that's a very hard thing to pull off, at least, from what I've seen of the majority of shows in the past decade God I'd forgotten you were fucking with your headphones by the time you came to skip back & I'm so glad you kept that whole bit in. Feels like an edit would've been kindof crap

Pikey mate is a derogatory term for gypsy over here, usually "Irish" travellers, I say that because most of them are now 3rd generation and don't actually travel. imagine Florida trailer parks that's our version. I'm basically one without the bloodline, I'm 40 and been travelling since I was 13 on my own around England that would make me a pikey.😂

They met in that first episode with the gig, started dating afterwards, got engaged a few years ago, and had their daughter last year! Right now the actor that plays Simon is 39, and Taras is 35, 25ish and 21ish during filming the later seasons. Also, once you finish the show, there's a special that aired for new years day in 2019 that you should check out! -Your very amazing helper :)

Peep Show is my favourite show ever created and I would love for you to react to it but my only concern is a lot of the references in it are very British or related to stuff happening at that time period within England. So I think a lot of the humour will go over your head but there is still enough in it that I think you will enjoy it.
