He is a legend! In 2014, he wore the same suit for a year and no one noticed. He did it to highlight sexism in the media. Lisa’s clothing was constantly judged but he could wear whatever. Excellent point Karl!

They are not together. Lisa is married to a Rugby Union player retired snd has been for years. Karl left his long term marriage and remarried a younger faster model. Pete he was talking to is his brother also a journalist.

Yeah, we keep laughing, can't believe how lucky we are. We call our country "the Lucky Country" because the laugh is on the Brits. They sent us out in chains and - Boy! - did we land on our feet, haven't stopped laughing since, here on the edge of the South Pacific,, far away from the World and it's troubles, can't believe our good fortune!

To give you an idea of this guy's true character, he wore the same suit on air every day for a year. His reason was his female co-hosts were being constantly commented on & attacked & judged for what they wore, instead of what they did, so he wanted to support them by showing the s^xism they were having to deal with. No-one noticed his suit btw, a year on he revealed it

Karl and Lisa have been doing the show together for years. This program is free to air. We call people like Karl a "character!" And yes most of us take things with a grain of salt and are apt to make light of most subjects. We have a knack of making ourselves the brunt of the joke and everyone has a good time :)

That totally describes the British too and possibly the Canadians, that's why whenever Americans say they and us are very alike, I always say 'Nah, we have much more in common with the wonderful Aussies' same sense of humour, penchant for swearing and slang words and a bit of a fondness for the old drinkipoos lol loved this guy, had to watch it twice over it was so funny....as an aside, although their slang is mostly different from ours we totally understand the meanings..fair dinkum 💕😊😀

Aussie humour has a lot in common with Brit humour it can be subtle and even subversive so it helps to understand the culture to have a grasp of context and meaning... Plus they are very down-to-earth so you have to recognise the mix of Brit and American in a truly unique country... They have the positivity of the American with the sarcasm and cynicism of the British, it creates a unique blend of humour...

If you can, please watch yesterdays Today Show” - Tuesday 9th August. You’ll see a completely different side of Karl as he comforts “entertainment host”, Richard ‘Dickie’ Wilkins as he breaks down life on air, reporting the passing of Olivia Newton John. Wilkins was a very close long time friend of ONJ and had received the call from her family on an a couple of hours at most, before the daily show went to air. Karl’s response to his friends pain was in true Aussie style. Out of his chair and arms around his friend, consoling him live on air and letting him know it was ok if he couldn’t continue, but offering support of he wanted to continue. He may be a buffoon most mornings, but yesterday saw a genuine and raw and special moment.

Karl is on a Tv show that's free to watch. We have lots of free to air tv channels with some great content. We don't have to pay for shoes like Survivor, The Handmaid's Tale and many many more. We are very lucky to have so much free content!!

Karl Stefanovic hosting the Today show while drunk, you have a couple of seconds of it at 12:36, it was the morning after the 2009 Logies and he'd been drinking all night and not slept, btw the Logies is like the golden globes for Aussie tv, you should check it out, so funny and is considered a landmark moment in Australian cultural history 😜PS- The word you were unsure of... She said he was a Meddler🤗

That Delai Lama ordeal happened in my family's Aboriginal art gallery - it was... it was awful. I mean I thought it was kind of a funny joke honestly, but it fell flatter than any joke I'd ever seen delivered live or since. The whole interview was just so awkward. Good on Karl for doubling down and seeing if second time was the charm.

The Today show is on free to air TV, and not cable, and it airs Monday to Friday 5.30am to 9.00am. Karl is pretty well allowed to do what he wants within reason, and it's the spontaneity that people love. 🤗

Those ppl with the sausages in bread they were talking to, they were all just taking the piss outta the guy on the end they called a stoner (and yes, it means the same thing here). Looks like those other 3 ppl (the two chicks and the guy) were running a sausage sizzle at Bunnings, and they were saying Stoner Guy was their biggest supporter, and that he'd stopped for a snag before work. Then they were like 'yeah, I bet his boss'll be happy to see him on national TV when he's supposed to be at work' kinda thing, ie he'll get into shit when he gets to work if he's late.... so yeah... they were taking the piss outta him ;)

The solar flash and the EBS will probably coincide and all the media who have been controlled cabal and against humanity will be rounded up and sent to prison and most likely shot. They have stopped hanging them. There is 10 days of darkness with no internet coming up and only one channel on TV where everyone sees the tribunals of those that were just arrested and on house arrest like Ellen, Oprah, Scott Morrison, and others. Their trials will be on TV and their executions. So brace yourself. It's very very near - I think within 9-10 days.

I reserve the term Legend for someone who's done some good in the world. Not everyone is a fan of Karl. He may be a legend in his own mind, but many others view him as a loose cannon who forces his co-hosts and producers to be constantly dancing on edge, mopping up his messes and hosing down flames whenever he oversteps the mark. Which has been often. While he keeps getting paid the big bucks and listening to his admirers he doesn't learn from his mistakes. Sad but true.

If you were in Australia you wouldn't have to purchase anything for 20 years he was on every morning on free to air TV, growing up watching him as I think most Aussies did brings allot of nostalgia

This is actually free to air network known as channel 9, say NBC Equivalent. It is mostly the top rating free to air network in the country. Carl can have a lot of fun, but he’s also done some tremendously hard-hitting and insightful interviews with people from all over the world. Sometimes his professionalism slips, but rarely his integrity and never his popularity.

The reason you don't understand what they on about is because this clip doesn't show that full clips on the actual clips. So if I was foreigner then I wouldn't get it either. Over my head.

I’m really glad you liked Karl. He was up for a Gold Logie this year (Aussie tv awards). I thought he should have won. I really like him because underneath all his over the top behaviour, he seems really kind. As someone else mentioned, he wore the same suit everyday for a year to show how gender is perceived on breakfast tv. He’s very unapologetically real.

HEY mate. I get such a kick out of your reaction to our Aussie culture. I appreciate that we are a unique population. If you would like to experience some real Aussie humour, you should watch the Kath and Kim shows. The whole cast are so stereotypical of suburban Aussies. Brilliant actors. Check it out.

In Australia he's on free to air. We don't pay to watch regular TV. 👍 Carl was very entertaining, and loved a beer. A little too much at times. Some don't like him anymore. But I always enjoy his humour.
