Yeahhh Ben Barba. My favourite fullback ever. React to the Cronulla Sharks 2016 highlights when they won their first ever Grand Final in their 50 year history. Ben Barba was part of that team. He did really well that year.

Ray Warren has been commentating since the 70s, and only retired this year. "Ray 'Rabs' Warren's most iconic commentary moments" isnt bad, as it also has various big moments in various grand finals and such.

Rabs as in Ray "Rabbit" Warren because being a commentator he obviously Rabbit's on.Rabbits on being slang in Australia for talks a lot...ntm it's also fitting given his sir name.

The Dally M award (which he was receiving in the video) is presented at the end of the year to the best player in the NRL for that year. At the same ceremony they also present the best players in each position, and rookie of the year etc. The other big awards are the Clive Churchill Medal which is awarded to the best player in the Grand Final, and the Golden Boot which is awarded to the best player in the world, which essentially means the best player out of the NRL and Super League (England’s rugby league competition)

@@RealFansSports Dally M refers to Herbert "Dally" Messenger, the first Australian Rugby League player. His switch from Rugby Union to Rugby League kickstarted the latter sport in Australia back in 1907.

That was a great year for Barba but then got into some trouble lol. Another player who had an unbelievable year was Jarrod Hayne 2009 but he has recently been a naughty boy off the field also lol but he did get a start in the NFL 49ers so that would interest you. But 2021 Tommy turbo was the most dominant year from any player in the history of the NRL and that was even after missing the first 4 games of the season.When you get a chance to watch the ten best tries from 2021 Tommy makes a few appearances.

I said before that early next year I hear that there will be a game played in the States between Manly Sea Eagles and South Sydney Rabbitohs. Not sure where it will be played but keep an eye out for it and if it’s near to you, you may get the chance to attend a live game. Keep up the great reactions and spread the word of our great game to your fellow American buddies. You never know our game might catch on over there. Cheers.

Why didn't Ben Barba play Origin? Here is a partial extract from Chanel 9 Wide World of Sports website. Ben Barba never pulled on a Queensland State of Origin jumper despite the fact one of the greatest individual seasons of the NRL era belongs to him. Despite his exceptional season his 2012 Origin dreams were spoiled by Billy Slater, who wore the Maroons No.1 jumper in the first two games, and Greg Inglis, who replaced an injured Slater at fullback for Origin III. Despite Barba's spectacular 2016 season, he lost out to Darius Boyd in the Maroons fullback race for all three games. It was in the wake of Barba's grand final triumph with the Sharks that his dazzling career copped its first major blow. He tested positive to cocaine four days after Cronulla's grand final win over Melbourne and was axed immediately, leaving his NRL career in tatters. After two years in the Super League Barba tried to revive his NRL career, signing a one-year deal with the Cowboys for 2019. But his NRL career was then genuinely destroyed when a domestic violence incident against his then-partner led to the league tearing up his contract. Barba played 168 NRL matches and five with the Indigenous All Stars.

Barba never played origin for QLD as he was always behind other in form players at the time, such as Billy Slater, then a bunch of not good off-field stuff happened, which pretty much ruined his career.

BACKS: #1=Full back #2 & #5=Wingers #3 & #4=Center(Used to represent inside and outside Center with both being along side each other,#3 being inside & #4 being outside but nowadays most of the time both are split on either side of the field.) #6=Five eight(Being the the first back in between the 6 forwards & 6 back's.) Next to the Half back the 5/8 is primarily another field general/play organiser both in offence & defence. #7=Half back,pretty much chief organiser both on attack and defence and the equivalent to an NFL QB when it comes to calling set's. FORWARDS: #9=Hooker,The player that plays the dummy half role meaning he is the nominated ball passer of each play the ball.(The position name coming from the hooking with feet action that was once used in scrums in order to gain or regain possession once the ball was fed or rolled into it & passing style from dummy half) #8=Prop Front row Foward(Prop meaning being 1 of 2 props that flank the #9 hooker in the front row of the scrum formation.) #10=Prop Front row Foward(Being the second of the position I mentioned above.) #11=Second row Foward aka back rower #12=Second row Foward aka Back rower.(Once again named in regards to where these 2 back rowers lock into each other behind the front rowers in a scrum formation. #13=Lock(Named after being the rear rower at the back of the scrum.)

Ben Barbara is a Queenslander , but his problem for not making the Queensland side was Billy Slater . Ben Barbara also had off field trouble that saw him never forefilligs his potential .

React to Ray Warrins Commentating. He is the GOAT by far. Ben Barber was a freak but he was in a generation where there were future immortals and at his postion was Billy the Kid. Arguably the greatest fullback of all time

2 and 5 are the wingers on either side then 3 and 4 are the centres inside the wingers either side. The award they want to win is the main award dally M there is Clive churchil and there is others.

I'm not sure if he did play origin there is a lot of good players never had the opportunity. Like today NSW selectors never once picked Alex Johnston when for the last few years in a row has scored the most tried in a season then any other winger or postion and still never gets looked at. Qld maroons would of chose him years ago and stuck with him if he was born In qld.
