The writer is Charlie Brooker. You'll know him from Black Mirror. If you want more of his comedy (other than this) try: Newswipe/ Gameswipe/ Screenwipe (topical shows, one of which featured the first use of Philomena Cunk), Nathan Barley (satirical take on the absurdity of what made millennial London "cool"), Brass Eye (changed British comedy, exceptionally dry). He's written loads of stuff.
