Great reaction ! Damiano David is a rock star - we just don't know it yet.....Today UK Charts 7 with I Wanna be Your Slave. The last Eurovision winner to achieve a top 10 with a different song ? Celine Dion... (won 1988...). The sky is their limit, literally !
@vernickicrafts3 жыл бұрын
You’re right, they’re doing pretty well in the UK. I wanna be your slave is still climbing up the charts, it hit 7 yesterday. Their new album was 4 on Spotify’s global album charts too, so people are definitely starting to notice them. It’s great to see!

I dont understand that american need everything in english.. i dont speak italien neither but i never searched for the lyrics.. because i enjoyed the song. I dont think we need to know every word of a song. As a child a heared also some english songs and didnt know any word but i liked the song as well as my german (nativ language) songs
@nicirubia5703 жыл бұрын
I do understand it. I also want to understand every song as often times, the lyrics are the most brilliant part of the songs for me (see Coraline from them for example, without knowing the lyrics you miss out a lot) but sometimes you find out how shallow a song is or you find lyrics with which you cannot agree. That might happen as well. There is absolutely nothing wrong with not searching for lyrics if you like a song, don't get me wrong, and I also noticed that a lot of English speaking reactors kind of complain about 'not understanding anything' (I hope you get the whiney voice I was trying to convey) which gets on my nerves. But I just wanted to voice my opinion that it can be beneficial to know the lyrics/translations (even if most of translation cannot do justice to the metaphors or flowery language that cultural differences bring) so that you can enjoy a song even more. As an example: my Mum really likes the Christmas song (I know, sorry. But it's the best example I have) 'All I Want for Christmas Is New Year's Day' by Hurts. She always sings it with a happy smile on her face and is dancing while baking cookies in the kitchen. Before I was old enough to understand or search for the lyrics I was convinced it is a happy Christmas song. It is not, believe me, it isn't. For me, it is a constant tear jerker... So yeah, to sum up my essay... I understand people wanting to know lyrics as I do, too. But I get where you're coming from as many reactors seem to only focus on the 'not understanding' part of another language and do not focus on the song as a whole. I for my part love the song and the MV but I also looked up the lyrics to get an overview of the concept of the song.

@@nicirubia570 its ok to surch for lycris, dont get me wrong. But a lot of american reactors cant even enjoy a song if they dont know the lycris and thats is what i didnt understand because also melody and singing is important and i also like some russian songs, urkaine songs, italien songs etc and i dont understand anything but beat or singing is great and i listen to them of course :)
@nicirubia5703 жыл бұрын
@@anja_katharina4891 Then we are on the same page :) I totally get what you mean, it is annoying when people only focus on the part of the song where they don't understand the lyrics and make it seem that the whole song is bad just because of this. Also, I just realised we could have had this whole conversation in German... oh well. ;)

Happy for this Italian band ( I am Italian my self ) long await Recognition. The 70 and 80 Italy was full of good rock bands such As. PFM. New trools. Banco , alphataurus, ecc ecc but the language barrier made them impossible to be recognized except for PFM that cross the ocean and gave Americans a little taste of Italian rock by performing in Central Park on free concert also they tour whit Emerson lake and Palmer. But those wore the day of Led Zepplin. Deep purple Queen ecc. And now MANESKIN. Is gettin to do something never done before, ( rock metal rap ballads inglish and Italian all together. I am so proud of them as an Italian living in USA . On my final note I whis DAMIANO stays faithful to is song VENTANNI and hope is success is inspiring not the mony that he will make.

Maaaaaate I’m glad you like the song but you’ve really missed out here by not reacting to the official MV. What’s more important - some closed captions in ENG or getting a first reaction to the band literally putting on a circus sideshow? (And I’m not even saying the major spoilers in the video out of kindness in case you do watch it, everyone in the comments here knows what’s up😂🖤🖤) Suggestion for future reference - react to their official MVs if you have the option, even if you can’t get a version with ENG subs. Just look up the lyrics and have them open on the side. They put a lot of artistry into the videos, they’re worth checking out.
